"I promise" [Phan]

can i ask you a question?

Phil knocked lightly on the oak door. He knew all Dan wanted was to be alone, and honestly he did too, but he knew hiding away for too long would just make him feel even worse.
"Dan..?" He slightly raised his voice, so the younger boy could definitely hear him. Meanwhile, the pastel boy was thinking of excuses he could make to not open the door. Sure, he did kind of want to see the other boy but he was also slightly scared of him now.

Sighing, Dan got up and made his way to the front door. His tummy filled with nervous butterflies as he timidly pulled down the handle, revealing Phil wearing an over-sized band shirt, black ripped jeans and multiple piercings complimented with his tattoos.  The older boy smiled a little, not making full eye contact as he didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

Out of nowhere, Dan wrapped his arms around the taller boy and buried his face in his upper chest as tears slid out of his eyes. "Thank you for c-coming.." he whispered, his breath hitching slightly. Phil felt his heart beat increasing in speed a little as the corners of his mouth rotated, creating a slightly larger smile.

"I'm really sorry that happened, Dan... I forgot how much of an asshole Pj is when hes drunk. But like I said, we aren't friends anymore, so you don't have to worry, okay?" Phil whispered in a soft and gentle tone, caressing one of Dan's cheeks. This made Dan blush a little, though he tried to hide it by burying his face in the others chest again. Everything Phil did with the younger, it felt so different to everyone else he talked to. He would be.. excited to talk to him? Even if it was just texting.

"Um.." Dan muttered, looking up into his eyes but not fully making eye contact. "Can I.. uhh.. ask you something?" He asked hesitantly, instantly regretting it but he couldn't go back now. Phil smiled politely, running his fingers through his own hair as he nodded.

The pastel boy thought for a moment, contemplating if he was actually going to ask such an awkward question. At least, for Dan it was. After thinking for a couple seconds, he chose not to ask.
"N-nevermind.." he muttered
