The boy with the cinnamon locks and cocoa irises let out a quiet sigh as his head rested against the frigid marble-coloured wall. After a couple of minutes of silently sobbing under the matching marble sink, a voice was heard from downstairs which made him jump a little. "Daniel! Come and meet our new neighbours!" Sighing once more, he hesitantly stood up and made his way to where the voice was located timidly.
Once he eventually got there, his eyes fixed on the three strangers standing in the oak doorway. He tried not to stare at people, but sometimes he couldn't help it. Especially when the person a couple metres in front of him is an alluring figure with colourless skin complimented by his black charcoal haircut. He was soon snapped out of this trance when he noticed his mum staring at him, coughing awkwardly to break the silence.
"Daniel, these are the Lesters! They only just moved in and they're so nice, i'm sure you'll love them!" Mrs.Howell spoke a little too enthusiastically, smiling widely over at the charcoal haired boy as he smiled back friendly. The two adults shook hands with Dan, even though he didn't really want to be anywhere near them. Sure, their son was cute as hell, but he didn't like the look of them - they looked snobby and boring.
Fiddling with a small twisty curl in his hair, he waited for more words out of someone. He wasn't going to try to be polite, last time he did that he got heartbroken and look where he ended up; on the bathroom floor against the marble wall. "Daniel- why don't you show Philip around our house?" As soon as those words were heard Dans head shot up, his heart pumping out of his chest. He immediately without even thinking shook his head, biting his lip and basically begging his mum with his eyes.
She sighed and turned to he family. "Come in" she spoke with a soft and angel-like tone in her voice as she greeted the others inside. Panicking a little, Dan ran upstairs into his room and slammed the door behind him. He jumped onto his bed and let the tears stream down his face, feeling a big lump in his throat. Burying his face into his pillow, he screamed. He did this often because he'd heard on the internet that it helped relieve stress and it definitely worked for him.
After about 10 minutes of crying and screaming, he sat up and tried to calm himself down. breathe, everything's okay he tried telling himself, obviously it didn't really help but he kept trying. Whenever he would cry his cocoa eyes would grow murkier and cloudy, like dark chocolate. But he hated the way that looked, the dark chocolate colour, he always described it as boring. Calming down now, he got up but wobbled a little and opened his wardrobe doors.
Pulling out a pastel pink sweater, white thigh highs, a dainty little white skirt and a pearly coloured choker. To finish off the outfit he placed his pink n white flower crown which laid perfectly in his hair like a duvet on a mattress. He would never wear clothes like this out, because when he was little he would get bullied for being too "girly" and his mum would say they were right and that he should wear more "boyish" colours.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs. Flinching a little, he sat back on his bed and hoped he had remembered to lock the door.
But of course he didn't.
He gulped as the handle went down and a cute punk charcoal haired boy popped his head around the corner.
