The cobblestone pathway crumbled slightly as two pairs of feet took a step, one pair hesitant and scared.
"I..can't do this.." Dan mumbled, his eyes fixed on the ground. He wouldn't go to school for this reason, which made the school worried — though, his parents couldn't care less if he got a good education or not. All they cared about was money.
"Hey, I believe in you, okay? You can do this" Phil reassured him, wrapping his arm gently around the others waist to comfort him. He was pretty proud of this strange boy, he never thought he'd get him to leave his bedroom let alone step outside.Sighing quietly, Dan nodded and took a couple more steps. Before he knew it, he was walking properly. Course', he was still nervous, but he was doing better than he had in a while so that was good. Phil smiled happily, planting a gentle kiss on the others forehead which made Dans cheeks burn so he turned his head to the side to prevent the punk boy from noticing.
Though, this didn't really help, because now Phil was curious as to what Dan was hiding.
"Why'd you turn your head, princess?" he giggled a little, knowing the reason already, he just wanted to hear him say it out loud.
"S-shut up..don't call me that.." Dan mumbled under his breath, walking a little more and glancing over at the other to see his expression."But I think princess is a perfect way to describe you — elegant, pretty, adorable." The punk boy giggled a little, a small smirk on his face. "Although, princesses are usually hiding something. They're full of secrets. I think you're full of secrets too, Howell. Isn't that right?" He glanced over at the other who was staring up at him, his heart beating out of his chest. Phil smiled softly, poking his shoulder playfully. "I'm just teasing you — but really, I like calling you princess. Although, If you really don't like it ill stop."
Dan bit his lip gently, shaking his head. "C-call me whatever you like.." he mumbled, beginning to walk a little more while biting his lip slightly harder. Phils smirk grew a little, but quickly changed into a soft smile. It was so, so strange how this boy made Phil feel. Because, obviously, he didn't act this way around other people. With others, he wasn't a very nice person.
"By the way...um...where are we going..?" Dan turned to face the other who was smiling down at him gently, shivers rolling down his spine at how beautiful the older boy looked. Phil just grabbed the others hand and lead him in the direction of a cute private park that not many people went to since it was abandoned, though it was still an okay looking place."Here. No one usually comes here, so you'll be safe, okay? And if they do, we can go back to yours and watch movies until you're content." Phil smiled gently, looking down at the brunette who was staring at the park in awe which made the punk boy giggle slightly.
"Do you like it? Its pretty cool I think." The charcoal haired boy lead Dan to the navy-blue, rusty looking swings. Dan admired them for a few seconds before sitting down and squeezing Phils hand gently, looking up at the sky.
"I like it..yeah.." he mumbled, his voice soft and pure. Phil liked that about him, he liked the innocent sounding voice. It made him feel calm, warm. Happy?
