Now that I am with Damon again, I am happy. I know I am safe here with him. And right now, we are hiding from the full moon for tonight. I never actually thought I would find myself hiding from a harmless moon that dangles in the sky.
"Let's go!" Damon said loudly, picking up some bags.
Go where? My face tilted in confusion. "Go where?" I finally let out. He smiled and looked at the clock and then to the apartment door. He picked up some chains out of the bag as if that were supposed to answer my question. "What is that for?"
"We have to tie ourselves up with it. When we change tonight, in four hours, we will try to run for food, we will be starving. So, with these, we can't break free. We are going somewhere underground. It's an old cave sort-of-thing."
I smirked loudly, "Are you serious?" He shook his head and grabbed my hand, forcing me to walk to the car. Finally, when he sat me down, he started the car and we left.
I can't stand dead silence. "I thought you could control it." I said breaking the silence. "I thought you know how to change whenever you want?"
"I can." he said, staring at the road in front of us. "But remember, every Werewolf changes on a full moon even if you know how to control it. But on top of that, I can change whenever I want. It sucks, I know, but we can't change that."
No, we can't, but whose fault is that?
Suddenly, Damon turned the wheel quick, taking us off the really road and onto a dirt path. He turned to the left and stopped at what looked like a big hole in the ground. Stairs led down to the place where we are going to tie ourselves up for the change. Damon looked at me, "Hurry!" he said giving me a boost on my back with his hand.
I ran down the stairs, following him. The downstairs is creepy. on the sides, it's all concrete with ancient-looking drawings. Like the drawings they used back in the day to tell a story. It all looked pretty awesome, actually.
Suddenly, Damon sat me next to a big pole. He put the chains around my wrist and told me he loved me. I smiled and watched him put the chains on himself. He sighed and said, "Here we go..."
Here we go...
Four hours passed. Finally, pain was hitting me. It felt like someone just kicked my side of my stomach. I hear a loud buzzing noise in my ears, and I can feel myself turning into the mutation. My bones crack and break. Suddenly, my back arches in an uncomfortable way, making every back bone breakfast. My feet tore as paws replace them. I hear myself howl uncontrollably. I don't even dare to take a look over at Damon.
Here I am again. As a horrible monster I have become. I have become an animal and a beast. No one could love a beast, besides another beast.
Finally, after a full night of torture, I slowly and painfully turn back into my human self. "Was it a little easier?" Damon asked. I looked to the floor wanting to deny that it was just as bad as the first time. But it was just as bad as the first.
"Yeah. It was." I lie. I don't want to lie, but I can't tell him it hurt just as bad as the first.
"Good." he stared at me. "Vampires and Witches didn't find us tonight. Two full-moons in a row. I think that is a record." I giggled to his joke. He smiled and laughed for a second with me. "We can go back to town."
My heart felt better and pressure came off of me. "For how long?"
"Every full moon, we have to come back here. Only one night a month. Is that okay? Because we can't just not tie ourselves because they will find us even easier that way and we will be dead. There aren't many Werewolf’s here in L.A. They are mostly back were we used to live.
"That's fine." I said. "I guess we go now." He nodded and we went back up the stairs. But, someone was standing next to our car. Someone we don't even know.
"Why are you here, Chloe?" Damon asked. He knows her? Who is she? A friend? What is she to him? Why is she here? So many questions fill my head. But I don't dare interrupt Damon's conversation.
"You didn't think you could get away, now did you?" Chloe asked. She sounded very rude. "Aw. And who is she?" Chloe stared at me. What does she want?
"Chloe! Just stop!" Damon yelled. What is he trying to hide?
"Oh, I get it! She's your girlfriend. How sweet. And I bet you never told her about me, am I right? I mean, he has told you about me and him, right? Because in most relationships, they tell each other who their x's were."
"Damon?" I asked confused. "Who is she?"
"Nobody!" He yelled back, shoving me into the car rudely. Whoever she is, she sure does get on his nerves. What is he hiding from me? What does Chloe mean 'between me and him’? Suddenly, he starts the car and starts driving away.
"You can't hide from the truth, Damon!" Chloe yelled harshly, as we passed her.
"Is she someone I should be afraid of?" I ask. Damon looks at the dirt path and frowns. I just want one answer and is that too much to ask for? Seriously, I think he should answer me. Still, Damon is quite. "Damon, answer me!"
"She certainly isn't someone you want to be friends with, okay? Just promise me that you'll stay away from her." He said, still focused on the road. I nodded and made him a promise. But why is she that bad. Who is she?
