Finding True Love

"Where's Nyah?" I ask Niko while getting into his car. He looked at me in shame. I got sad for a second because he is making it seem like she died or something, but I don't know.

"Chloe's uncle took her. I am not sure if she is dead or not. But killing Chloe is the only way to get her back if she is alive. She is my sister and I plan on at least trying to save her. She is one of the last things I have left in my life. My parents are always in their Order. They are waiting for us to come back, too. But they don't want us to go back until Chloe and her uncle is dead. Once we have Nyah. And we need to make sure you and Damon are safe so the prophecy can live on." he says while swallowing hard. "You guys need to stay together forever or the prophecy will die. This is not something you want to die. It can cause bad things..." 

I look at Niko in disbelief and feeling sorrow for his sister. His parents won’t even keep him safe until they know everyone they want is dead and until they know Damon and I are safe. But what if were never safe? What if since we are 'imprinted' that we might always be in danger. Maybe a lot of people are after us and we don't know it. 

"We will be sure to save everyone that needs to be saved and kill everyone who needs to be killed." I mutter while forcing a smile. "Let's go find Damon."

Niko looks at me and then puts his keys in the car. "Where do you think he might have gone?" I look down at my hands and feel my face turn red. 

"I don't know, Niko. I wish I did, but the only place I can think about is the cave. Check there and if he isn't there, I guess we go back to our apartment and see if he is there. After that, I don't know what to tell you, Niko." 

Niko nods his head as if he understands. But how can he? How can he understand my pain? No one can. I am in love and worst of all we are meant to be together. What hurts is if he dies, the prophecy dies and we don't know what kind of hell might happen.

I keep a glance at my hands not wanting to stare at the trees and everything that comes with it. All I want to see is Damon. I want him to be safe. I want him with me now so I don't feel so alone. Although, I have Niko with me, so I am not so alone, I just feel alone. Maybe because I'm used to having someone to wake up next to and hear their amazing voice. 

Suddenly, the car stops and Niko hops out. "Let's go find him." He says. I look up finally and run into the cave knowing this is my only hope because I doubt he would be anywhere else. I look around, twisting my body around a lot. But no sight of him. I go down this long tunnel to see if he might have wondered down, but he hasn't. Otherwise I would have saw him by now. 

"Come on, he's not here. Let's go look at the apartment." I say. 

"No." Niko says, "Were going to look for him in the forest first. I know Damon and I know what he does. He likes adventures, and you know that more than anybody. You should know if he wasn't in here, which he isn't, that he should be wondering around in the forest. That's his kind of personality." I nod my head to show Niko that I am paying attention and I have faith in him. All faith.

After an hour of exploring, I sit down on a rock and feel like crying, but I hold it in for Damon. I don't know where else he could be. "Don't give up, Jade. We will find him. I promise you." He says sitting by me. "Look, I know he is somewhere out here. You just got to be willing to look for him. And if you’re not, let him find you. Because you should know he's probably looking for you too." 

"Okay." I say getting back on my feet with a smile. "He probably is looking for me, huh? I never thought of that. But if we keep moving, don't you think he would never find me? Or at least not for a long time?" I ask. 

"Then let's stay here." He smiles. 

Suddenly, I hear a rustle in the bushes. I stand up tall and yell, "Damon? Damon?" To my surprise, Niko comes up behind me, and grabs my mouth making sure nothing could come out. What the hell is he doing?

"Shh! Stop yelling. It could be something else. A vampire. A witch." he says quickly and in a rush. "Remember, let him find you." Niko said. I nod my head and stare at the bushes giving full hope that it's Damon. After a second, the bush rumbles again. I was going to say his name again, but instead I share a glance with Niko and remember what he said. Let him find you. 

I breathe out slowly not letting fear get to me. Finally I hear a voice. A familiar one. "Jade!" I look up and I see Damon. He has his yesterday’s clothes on and they're all torn and dirty, but I don't care, so are mine. His hair looks like a forest of its own. "Jade!" he says again pulling me in for a hug. 

"Oh, gosh, Damon you scared the shit out of me. I couldn't find you and I was freaking out. I am so glad you’re here now." I say and pull him in for a kiss. After a few second kiss, he looks over my shoulder and see's Niko. 

"Niko?" he says in shock. "What are you doing here?" I look at Niko then back at the beautiful face I came to love. 

"I'm here to help you. I can't explain it all now, but we have to go. I'll explain in the car. We don't have time to waste." he says. We all run back to the car and get inside. Damon sits in the back with me and I lie on his chest the whole way. I am not sure where we are going, but we are going somewhere important. 

I can tell all this information Niko is giving him is a lot to take in, I had to take it in too. It's the only way we can survive. He needs to know all this. Suddenly Damon looks in the front mirror where he can see Niko's face. "Well how do we kill Chloe?" he asks worried. 

I frown in thought. I never thought about that. Out of everything I thought about I didn't think about what possibilities there are of killing her. So how do we kill Chloe? Is there even a possible way? She seems invulnerable.

"Well there's an old legend." Niko begins, but still paying attention to the so called 'road'. "There is a ritual that is used to kill demons. And that is what Chloe is. A demon. She is a witch, a vampire, a werewolf and a Demon and it's all a mix. To kill Chloe we will need a sample of her blood, and a sample of both of yours. Because of the prophecy. The only hard part is trying to get hers..." 

"Yeah. That's going to be tough." Damon said with a smirk.
