All my life I thought when I grow up, I am going to meet this perfect guy and we are going to fall in love and then live happily-ever-after. But in the real world, that's not how it works. There's difficulties all the time. And especially if you more than just human! Being what I am, there are problems that get in the way all the time and I am tired of it.
Now I am worrying about if or how we are even going to find Chloe. We don't know where she is. We don't know exactly how much power she has. I mean, she's probably somewhere off with her uncle and he is probably teaching her more skill....getting her ready because they probably know we want her dead. We just don't want, we need her dead. But we need to somehow capture her and tie her up so we can get a sample of blood. After that, we do the ritual. Niko said that we are going to need her there, Chloe, she needs to be in the center of all of it. We’re going to have a circle of candles and Chloe sits in the middle.
Once that is all complete, we will place all three of our blood samples into a little bowl and mix it together. Then we slowly, while saying the spell, we will have to be drawing a symbol on her chest, right where her heart should be.
Niko and Damon left to go find Chloe and they haven't showed up and I am terrified because of it. They said the longest it would take is three days! It's been four! They even said after it passes three days that they would come back just to check in and they haven't done that. What if Chloe found them instead and captured them?
Damon and Niko said that I shouldn't go because it's too dangerous and I could get hurt and she's tougher than you think....but of what I have seen, she doesn’t seem too tough. Yes, she 'revived', but she sucked at killing me...
But maybe I am underestimating her because she might be extremely powerful, and maybe she is just holding her full power back until it is completely needed.
After about an hour of thinking on what might happen, the door bursts open. I jump back from the couch and onto the floor. "Shit!" I yelled as I look down to see water spilt all over the front of my jeans. Finally, I looked up and it was Damon and Niko. My heart stops in the sight of them and I finally find myself able to breathe. "Oh my gosh I thought you guys weren’t coming back! You scared the shit out of me! Where the hell were you guys? I felt as if I was going to die!"
"Sorry we got held off." Damon laughed. I looked at him upset and crossing my arms trying to ignore the water on my jeans. Niko grins too.
"Why are you guys laughing," I ask rudely.
"We got her." Niko laughs some more. "She's in the back of the car. Help me carry her in. She's heavier than she looks..." I smile and follow him outside to the car. But before I go past the door, Damon grabs my arm and spins me around.
"I'm sorry were late. But were fine. Your fine. I love you, Jade." he says to me and lets go so I could leave again. I feel a blush go through me. I love him so much and the fact that he tells me so often it makes me feel like he isn't lying and that he constantly loves me and always will love me.
I finally walk out the door and stare at Chloe's body. I tremble by the sight. "Is she...?" I stutter. "Is she....?" I just can't ask it. I hate seeing dead bodies. I mean, I have seen Austin's and Chloe's once before, but I just can't get use to it. Because I have once seen them alive.
"Dead? No! " Niko says quickly. "We couldn't kill her. At least not now. We need her for information. Maybe we can get some stuff out of her before we kill her. And if you are too scared, you don't have to help kill her. Damon and I could do it no problem."
"No. I want revenge." I say starring at her body still. Finally, I grab her two wrists while Niko grabs both of her ankles. We carry her into the apartment and Damon has set up a chair. In his hand he has thick ropes that we can tie her up with. He also has some chains because of her strength.
After we sit her on the chair we tie her up. It's kind of funny seeing her like this. Her being the one tied up instead of Damon and I. She did the same to us. Doesn't she deserve this right back to her? She abused us and all that is going to happen she deserves...
I grab a needle and push it into her right shoulder. I slowly let my thumb rise up as her blood came into the tube. Once all the blood that was needed was in the little tube, I quickly turned myself around and grabbed a tissue to wipe down the needle.
Niko put the old wooden bowl in front of me and I squirted the blood into it. After that, I raised the needle to me and punctured it into my own flesh. I twitched a little when I felt it go in deeper. ne again, I let my finger slide up and quickly took it out. As I put my blood with Chloe's, Niko was wiping my shoulder because of the extra blood squeezing out.
Damon walked over to me and pulled up his long sleeve. I looked into his eyes and then at the needle. I handed it to him because I couldn't do it. I love him so much, and even the thought of one needle going into him, caused by me would be terrible. So I let him do it. He didn't question it, he knew what had to be done.
Niko let all three of our blood mix in the bowl. He didn't stir it, though I thought he would. He just let it sit for a few minutes. I guess it's just part of the process. No asking questions now though. Were ready to get this over with.
With the long silence, I began to speak fast and in a gush of words. "Niko, this kills Chloe, right? Because I surely can't wait to see her dead." Niko looked up as if amused. I bet the look on my face right now is horrifying.
"Of course. She'll be in the center of the ritual and after we are completely done, she will die. Right here.” He points to the floor. “But after we kill Chloe, we still aren't done. When Damon and I went up to find her, there was no sign of her uncle what-so-ever. So, after this, our next mission is to kill her uncle. This might be hard because we don’t know exactly what he is. Then finally, we find my sister. We save her. We go to the order and then from there on, no harm will come our way.” Niko says with a long smile. I can tell he is imaging something. Most likely seeing his sister again.
I shake my head and go to the kitchen table. I grab the bag full of brand new candles and light them all up. Damon comes towards me and starts helping me set them around.
After everything was set up, Niko stepped in and held the book in his hand. He stared at the words as he spoke. I can’t tell really what he is saying, though. It’s all a blur. I am not a witch so I don’t know what anything means. Niko says a long, long ritual that takes about five minutes just to say. Finally he thrushes his hands showing me to kneel down to Chloe. But I know what I have to do.
I stick my finger into the blood as well as Damon. I looked at Damon and slowly ran my fingers on her chest creating an old symbol. Damon and I both created the symbol of devil and hell. The one that has the power to kill Chloe. The powerful one.
The symbol has a circle at the top, with a line that goes straight down that looks much like an arrow. In the middle of that line that goes down, there is a line that goes from left to right, this line is very small. Lastly, right under the circle is a side-ways ‘J’, and the bottom of the ‘J’ twirls like a swirl.
Chloe’s body is in a spasm form right now. She is gasping for air I believe. Her chest going high into the air. A long pattern of pain happens before her last breath is taken…
The room gets silent as we watch for any sudden movement… Silence. My heart stops as I see Chloe dies. It’s almost over, I thought.
