"Please, guys, we're going to miss it!" I grab Kelly's arm, stopping her from walking any further. She shakes me off, grimacing down at me.

"Come on, Alex, all of us want to see this attraction. We'll be done in a few minutes then we can go to your stupid signing thing," She snaps. I look to my other friends earnestly, asking for help. Ann shrugs and turns to walk with Kel.

"Poor, poor Alex, we're torturing her! It's an Anime game! So bad and so scary!" Rose exclaims, pointing out the attractions of buffed guys and half-naked girls. I roll my eyes.

"It'd be better if you guys didn't always shove your crappy shows and games in my face all the time. I'm sick of anime!" The girls scoff, turning and continuing our stroll through this naked hell. I walk farther behind, looking at the nearest clock every two seconds. Drew makes his way to me.

"Sorry, Lex."

"Don't sorry me, Drew. You're contributing to this mess! To think I thought you would actually be on my side," I say crossly, as the girls run and start wooing over a muscular anime boy teen poster. I grimace. "They're like sick puppies. How can you date her?"

"Kel? She's a different person once you get to know her. Oh, come on, grow up a little!" He says, punching me in the shoulder after spotting me fake-barfing next to him. We walk around the Anime section for another minute before I finally snap.

"Kelly, Ann, Rose, and Drew! If we don't head to the signings THIS INSTANT, I WILL LEAVE YOU HERE AND NOT COME BACK!" I scream. People stare but I couldn't give less of a shit. These signings are the only thing I came here for. Kelly rolls her eyes, but they all follow me grudgingly. I already know the way. They walk behind me as I run a bit ahead. We come to the right hallway, and I stop and turn around quickly. "Anyone coming? Drew?" I ask. He starts to follow, but Kelly grabs his arm.

"No, he'll stay with us." She says, grinning sweetly leaning on him as if her life depends on it. I turn and rush down the hall, pulling my sketch pad out along the way. I turn to the right and stop dead. The whole area is empty, except for two people. Mark Fischbach and Ethan Nestor. I hurry forward, butterflies swarming my insides. Suddenly my path is blocked by a tall, well-built security guard.

"Sorry, ma'am, the signing is over." Butterflies gone. Only complete emptiness.

"What?" I say, shocked. I feel suddenly out of breath.

"Yes, it closed two minutes ago." I start to panic. I look behind him. They're talking just fifteen feet away! They're so close. If I could just...

"Sir, please, I just want to have them sign my artwork-"

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but if I let you in, I have to let everyone in." My world seems to crash into my shoes. I smile sadly. At least I tried.

"Thank you for your time, Mr... May I have your name?" He looks at me shocked and then smiles.

"It's Mr. Banks. May I have yours?"

"Alexandra Heids. It's nice to meet you, Mr. Banks." I say, holding out my hand politely. He shakes it.

"I'm sorry for bothering you, sir. I swear I'm not trying to guilt you, I know you're just doing your job. I hope you have a nice day." I say, waving, and turn to walk away.

"Ms. Heids?" I turn back.

"Yeah?"

"Do you mind if I ask what you were wanting to get signed? My daughter loves to draw as well," He asks, eyeing my notepad curiously I smile. I start to flip through the sketch pad I've been holding for the last twenty seconds, and find a picture I drew of Ethan. I hold it out.

"Ethan has helped me through rough times, and he still does. I draw lots of pictures, but I'm especially proud of this one. I was going to have him sign it, but my friends wanted to go someplace else first. They spent half an hour there and made me late." I say, smiling sadly at the sketch. It's a picture of Ethan looking to the left, smiling at something in the distance. There's a quote. "The best thing about hitting rock bottom is that there is only one way left to go; up".

"This is good. I like your quote. I'm sorry that I can't let you in, you seem like a genuinely nice person. But as I said before; if I let you in, I have to let everyone else in. I hope you have a good day, and you should try selling your art - you could probably get some good money. You have talent, kid." He says, handing it back. I smile bashfully.

"Thank you, sir. Have a nice day!" I turn to walk back to your friends, a smile on my face. I look down the hall, trying to spot them, maybe wave them closer. My smile falters. They're gone...
