She ripped the pink bow from her hair
A scream raged through her throat
Filled with the sounds she had always hidden
                              Tears tumbled down her cheeks
                              She bit her lip
It seemed the seams of her life were ripping apart
                              Pain surged through her veins
                              Being kind was hard
She wouldn't be able to go back after this
                              The wrapping paper was shredded
Nothing left to cover up with
                              The perfect girl was tainted
And there was no turning back
Now she would scream what she had hidden
                              And wear what she wanted
                              Even through this harm
                              She was finally free
                              From disappointing everyone
