She smiled at she twirled, the fog was eating her up
Her kind words saved you
And as you held her hand, you hoped she would never let you go
But, she slipped
And the fog ate her up
You never questioned how she understood you
Never asked how she was feeling
Her face hidden by a mask
Impenetrable to all
Tears streamed down her face
Feeling all alone
In a world full of people
None willing to look straight and see
The tears were dripping down her cheeks
And gently making their ways down her arms
Slowly but surely covering her hands
Until she slipped away into the fog
She had once saved you from
And then she was gone
