You watched her from afar
You wondered where she was
As she twirled around in a circle
In the sunlight, love
You wondered where she went
As her gaze drifted off
Not content with this world
Not content with much
You knew she would be gone someday
That she would disappear
She came to this place by accident
And you were lucky just to be here
You watched the moon love her
And the sun caress her skin
The wind trying to steal her
And the earth pulling her in
You saw when she broke
Tired from it all
Trying to please everyone
Only to unplease them all
You remembered the day she vanished
Away from your sight of your own
When the skies above
Ripped her back home
You know, the moon seemed to darken
And the sun seemed to fade
The wind stopped blowing
And the earth stopped growing
You watched from afar
And you wondered what had happened
You cried the day she died
Because
You would have loved to love her
