When we finally arrived at the carnival, I was jumping in excitement. I've never stumbled upon this part of town during the summer and I'm glad I got to spend time here with my friends. Well, and an extra nuisance. Jack called me and said he'll be arriving an hour later, so there was no need to wait for him. Pfft, I thought bitterly, probably having car sex with his girlfriend for extra measure. What losers.

I groaned internally. I'm never going to get over him.

Alexander's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Oh, would you stop pouting? he said he'll be an hour late. He's still coming."

I groaned again. "But he'll be coming with his girlfriend."

He rolled his eyes. "Suck it up."

I sighed. "Thank you, Alex. Really. You're sweet."

He grabbed my arm and dragged me along with the rest of them into the carnival. Assuming it was Friday, it was going to be crowded as hell. And I was never wrong. The screams of children's laughter filled the air as people walked among their group of friends or families, happily eating away, or hurrying for their next ride before it started. We walked until we found a table of chairs and I thankfully sat down. I wasn't tired. I just don't like walking, running or even standing.

Ty clapped his hands. "Alright! I'm going to go grab our tickets, Jessie come with me please."

She rolled her eyes. "You just want me to come because you think all the "boys" are trying to eye rape me."

Ty looked at her in disbelief. "Of course they are, Jessica! I don't think, I'm certain. Now come here before I have to drag you all by myself, and you know how physically weak I am."

She sighed and got up. "My Prince Charming." And the two of them walked away.

I snorted and looked at Alexander. "Don't you think they're adorable?"

He looked disgusted and sat across me. "More like horrified. All they do is act lovey dovey and make out every 10 minutes. And I had to witness all that on my own." He looked at me and gave me his supposed charming smile. "But now, I have you to keep me company."

I rolled my eyes. "More like torture me." I dug inside my bag and took out my camera which I value so much with all my life, and couldn't help but snap a picture of the carnival. I looked at the picture and smiled, pleased. At the end it was a little blurry, so there were a thousand blurry lights in the distance, and coincidentally, Ty and Jessica stood in the middle, her laughing hard at something he said while he looked at her in amusement. I think it was safe to say it was aesthetically pleasing.

I laughed as I looked down at my camera. "This is so tumblr." I mumbled.

"What?" Alexander asked. I looked up at him. He had an amused expression with one side of his mouth higher than the other. He had both of his palms supporting his face as his elbows touched the table.

His hair was messed up but it didn't look ugly and his eyes were bluer against his black sweatshirt. I took out my camera, positioned it in front of my eye and snapped a picture of Alexander.

He mock glared at me. "How dare you?"

I shrugged. "I couldn't help it."

Ty and Jessica finally came back with our tickets and we went off to work.

We rode the big blaze, which was a circular ride that went around and around fast and didn't require any seat belts. You had to hold on to the outer pole if you didn't want to fall off. Thankfully I didn't experience any trouble. Ty and Alexander, however, today wasn't their lucky day. Ty must've slipped on something wet and he went crashing down the middle. Fortunately he held on to the other side of the ride and tried hard not barf.
