I tried to pull down the tight skirt that Michael forced me to wear because he insisted it showed my curves. I wore a white long sleeved top which exposed my shoulders, and tucked it in a royal blue pencil skirt. I left my hair and face as it is with a little bit of make up and jewelry, along with nude heels.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I was upstairs in the studio, currently waiting for my brother to arrive. He just texted me that he arrived at the airport and was on his way to Amberville. But that would take him another hour to reach here. And the party was about to start in 15 minutes.
My phone rung, causing me to flinch at the sudden sound.
"Hello, Dave." I answered.
"Is there anything left back at the studio that we forgot?" He asked me.
"Nice to see you too."
He sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm just nervous about this party. We haven't seen our friends from high school in a long time."
"Hey. I get it. It's normal to get nervous when you invite more than 50 of your friends along with their families which could mean there will be over a hundred and more people-"
"Thank you sky, for making me feel worse." He snapped.
I laughed. "I'll be there in 10. I guess my brother will just have to find his way to the party."
"Good, I'll see you there."
I hung up and stuffed my phone back in my white purse. With a final look in the mirror, I trudged downstairs and outside to my car.

The party looked fabulous. White picnic tables were set up near the lake, with beautiful flowers and blue colored sheets hanging from the chairs and tables. The trees that surrounded them were decorated with a hundred sparkling lights and balloons. The podium in front of the lake was full of glitter, at the request of Michael. And the grass shone bright and blue, from the glitter Alexander, Jack and I threw earlier.
It's been a half an hour since guests started arriving. Alexander and Jessica are coming a bit later due to her dress malfunction. Ty and his family were the first ones to arrive. Ty came through the white and blue flowered arch way with a huge grin on his face. He was carrying his baby brother.
I was standing beside the table nearest to the archway when I spotted him. I smiled. "So, this is the devil everyone's been talking about."
He sighed with a smile, and his brother squirmed in his arms. His curly hair was messed up as if he's woken up from sleep, there were nap lines on his dark chocolate arms and hands. He grinned. His two front teeth greeted me.
"Ty-Ty says I'm the spawn of Satan!" He exclaimed cheerfully, grabbing Ty's cheek rather painfully.
Ty winced. "Isn't that what you've always wanted?" He said, trying to remove his cheek from Jacob's grasp.
He let go and clapped his hands once. "Daddy said it's good!"
He laughed. "Okay buddy, I'm going to put you down now." After he set him down on the floor he ruffled his hair. "Look, Jacob! Over there! food!" With a giggle, Jacob ran away to where the buffet was set.
Jessica came storming in through the archway with a panicked look looking around frantically for something. She wore a beautiful blue patterned dress and left her blonde hair down in curls. Ty was still gawking at her when she approached us and asked, "Have you guys seen the microphones? I can't find it anywhere. I've only just arrived when Michael called me, screaming for the microphones."
I raised my eyebrows. "Oh. No we haven't." I said, starting to get worried.
She sighed and gave Ty a quick peck on the lips, looking at him. "I'll join you after a second, ok babe? I just need to find the damn microphones. And where the hell is the band? I rented them for 150 bucks!" She looked distressed, but gave him a smile. "By the way, you look sexy." And she trudged up to the podium.
