The victory party was held in, the one and only, Alexander's place. Jessica and I drove towards his house insisting that we must be there because it's probably the "biggest party since 1999".
I was behind the wheel, driving her car instead of her because she was a spoiled brat.
"Before we go to the party, Ty texted me and said he wants to come too." Jessica said, making me turn left.
"Why wasn't he at the game?" I asked.
She sighed. "He had to babysit his brother. But now, since it's 9 o clock, everyone is sleeping at his house so he decided to sneak out."
I raised my eyebrows. "Hmm. Ok."
After a couple of turns, we reached Ty's house. He was sitting on the steps to his porch when we arrived. He grinned and started to walk towards us.
He got in the back seat and closed the car door. "Hello, ladies." He greeted us.
"Hey." We both said.
We drove towards the party.
"Now come on! we have to hurry before Alexander loses it." He said, rushing his words and gripping both of our shoulders.
Jessica rolled her eyes. "He won't lose it, Ty. We won."
He didn't say anything. His jaw dropped. "What?"
"Shocking, I know." I said. "But it's true. We really did win. By one point."
Ty and Alex lived in the same block so it didn't take time for us to reach it. In fact we were already there. I parked the car in the sea of vehicles.
Ty, being the crazy person that he is, rolled down his window and screamed, earning more screams from the people outside his house.
"That's it." Jessica said, staring at Ty, who got out of the car and started running towards the house. "This is the moment where I realize that I'm dating a psychopath."
I turned the engine off and got off of her car. "You guys can be psychopaths together."
We linked arms and started walking towards the party. Loud music and bodies started engulfing us as we fought our way through, trying to reach the kitchen. It was not as crowded as it was in the living room, but there were a couple of people talking to each other and laughing among their friends with drinks in their hands.
Leaving Jessica, I walked towards the fridge and opened it. There was an alcohol bottle filled to the brim with golden liquid. I took it out. "Jim beam" I read out. Good enough. I turned around to see Jessica smirking and holding two blue cups, earning a smile from me.
I poured the alcoholic drink into the cups and set it down, then I took the cup from her.
"To better days and hopefully peaceful ones." I said, with a smile.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" A voice boomed from the living room.
Meghan came barging into the kitchen with absolute rage. She caught my eye and screamed, running towards me.
Without a second thought, I grabbed Jessica and shielded myself with her, clutching her arms from behind. I was terrified. All of a sudden, all three of us came tumbling down, with Jessie screaming and receiving most of the blows from Meghan.
What the heck?!
Suddenly, some of the weight came off of me, since I was the one under the two girls, then Jessie was off of me too. I took a deep breath, relieved nothing was crushing me. I looked up to find Alex holding Meghan in a tight grip, and Jessica being fussed over by Ty, who was asking a lot questions.
