Choosing Is Hard

Chapter 6

Halo's POV
I opened the door to the classroom for him," Your first princess" I smirked. The crowd of students started laughing and he glared angrily at me," You know I have a name right?" I smiled," I still don't care though- princess." The crowd was going wild now and he cussed under his breath while saying," I don't care either, my name is Liam." Liam? That's actually a pretty nice name. He smirked," I know it is." Did I say that out loud?! Crap! By now somebody had fallen off the chair full of laughter and our teacher Mr. Connell's face was red with anger. He shouted to both of us," Detention now!" Are you serious?!

We both made are way out of the class and to the principals office. I can't believe this! This is my first time ever getting detention and on the first day of school!! I'm so pissed off with Liam, he did this! And when I thought this day could never get any worse it did! We both entered the principals office and were told to sit in the seats for an hour. I got my phone out and started listen to music instead of sitting there doing nothing.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked at Liam," What do you want Liam?" He smiled," Aww now your actually using my name I feel so appreciated." I rolled my eyes," Seriously what do you want?" He said boredly," Well I don't want sit here for an hour doing nothing you mind if I can have the other ear bud?" Does he seriously expect me to accept that?! Ha! In his dreams! But before I even spoke he took the other earbud and put it in his ear. " What the hell! I never said that you can have it!"

He chuckled," I figured so that's why I took it instead of waiting for you to raise all hell on me." He is right about one thing. So I just rolled my eyes and let it happen. I was listening to Coldplay, Lumineers, Imagine Dragons, and Twenty One Pilots and you know what? I didn't even suggest it Liam did he has good taste in music.

But it doesn't matter he's still a jerk. I mean the guy spilled hot coffee on me and then got me in detention on the first day of school and for the first time in my life. I am still pretty mad at him but I guess I cooled off because of the music. I turned my head to look at him he has brown darkish hair and ocean blue eyes. I mean how often do you get to see that? It's pretty hot. Halo you are going crazy he is never going to like you either if you like it or not. I mean it's not like I like him back at all but still he is very handsome. Can you blame me?

He stares back at me and I blush while looking at his mesmerizing blue eyes. It got sort of awkward so I smiled and looked back on my phone to change the song to Tear In My Heart By 21 Pilots. He glanced at me smiling," Dude this is my favorite song by them." Wow really? Same! I say," Yeah me too." He replies," I guess we have more things in common then we think we do." I smiled cheekily at him before we could say anything else the principal came in.

Mrs. Loffer the strictest of the strict. I had a scared look on my face while Liam just looked amused. Oh wait until he has a piece of her mind. She told Liam, " Come to my desk sir we have a lot to discuss privately." I knew what that meant a screaming lecture. You heard right while she lectures you she screams at your face too. Great right? I'm in deep shit now.

Liam walks behind her," Wish me luck" he winks. I salute and we both end up smiling. He has a very beautiful smile, Get a grip Halo! After the door slams shut behind him I just stare at my phone and decide to finally tell Juniper I got detention. Why I say finally is because Juniper will lecture the crap out of me which I don't need because I'm going to get one from Mrs. Loffer.

After what seems like forever Liam comes out. And he is crying! I don't think I can look at him the same again. I looked at him half worried and half amused. I didn't know what to do so I just sat there staring at him as he approached the exit door and I guess go back to class. Shit it's my turn. I turn to look at the principal and she seems very surprised. She says firmly," Now why exactly are you here?" Well I got in trouble duh!

I say," I just got in trouble with the teacher that's all miss." She studied me for a while and said," Your free to go miss but if you do ever come back here you will be in big trouble." Hold up did I hear that correctly? I replied," Thank you miss! I will never get in trouble again!" I smiled widely knowing that karma was not on my side right know. Thank god! I was heading out to my second period when a hand placed on my hip and spun me around and there he was.

Liam was there with a tint of pink in his eyes from crying earlier. I almost laughed when he brushed his finger on my lip I felt a tingle I have never felt before and his hand on my hip made me feel like fireworks. It felt like it belonged there. He said," By the way that whole crying thing was fake, it's my way of getting out of detention." I smirked. Sure Liam sure. He glared at me," Hey! It was all fake and you need to thank me for bailing you out of the scream lecture ya know?" Wait what?! I stepped back shocked," Hold on your telling me that you were the one that made Mrs. Loffer changed her mind into giving me that big lecture?!" He nodded. I was totally shocked I didn't know what to say but kiss him, oh my gosh no halo!

I straightened up," Well thank you kind sir" wiping my hands on my pants for no apparent reason. He smirked," Oh Halo your thank you isn't enough really I wish it was but it isn't so in order to fulfill that thank you you will need to go on a date with me." WHAT?!!! My eyes were so wide that it felt like they could've popped out any second now. I stammered," Um- er uh." He looked at me amused and my face flushed with embarrassment. I stood up speaking with only a string of confidence, " Fine." His ocean blue eyes stood out more than ever and was so close to me that if either of us move are lips would touch.

He interrupted," Well then it's settled I'm picking you up tomorrow at 3 then." He turned around and walked away. While I was standing there excited, scared, and most of all confused. I mean what the hell just happened?! He bails me from that hell hole and now we're going on a date? What does this mean? I was so flustered with questions that when the bell rang I practically screamed. I looked at the time and I was going to be late! So I ran towards my classroom panting saying," I'm here!"

Liam looked straight into my eyes while I tried to avoid him but I can still feel him looking at me. Remind me how is that possible? How is any of this possible? That he makes you feel like fireworks when he touches you or that he just asked you out? I couldn't get the questions out of my head. But I know one person who can, my best friend Juniper. Man do I have a story to tell her.
