Choosing Is Hard

Chapter 5

Halo's POV
I woke up to an alarm that was blaring into my ear. What the hell! I slammed my hand hard on the alarm clock so it can shut up. Oh man today is that day. It's the first day at Peterson High. And it was also the last year of high school. I'm so scared of losing all my friends when I go to college. My parents are talking about me going to Harvard but I really don't want to go because I'm going to be so lonely.

I get up and walk to my bathroom taking a quick shower. After I get out I brush my teeth and blow dry my hair. I put my hair into a high ponytail with some strands hanging in the front. I put on a satin blue v-neck long sleeve on and Abercrombie sweats paired with my black adidas. Put some blush and ever so lightly put some mascara on and headed towards the kitchen. I grabbed an apple and Voss water out of the freezer and walked to school.

I mean I do have my own car but my school is literally right around the corner. When I got to the entrance I saw probably the whole population of girls gawking on something. I thought it was a cute puppy but somebody said," He is sooo hot!" I rolled my eyes. Wow just because of a guy. I'm just so glad I'm not pathetic like that I sort of feel bad for those girls.

I was about to walk away when I caught my eye on Juniper in the crowd. Wow I was surprised that she would gawk over a guy. That wasn't like her so I tapped on her arm and she spun around with wide eyes. I was wondering what wrong with her so I said," Dude who is out there? I mean your even gawking on him he must be hot" I smirked. She slapped me on the arm and I stuck my tongue out to her.

She said frantically,"Remember that guy that spilled coffee on you?" I nodded. "Take a look at the new guy." I pushed my way through the crowd and finally being able to see him there he was. Oh my fucking gosh. My eyes widened. It was him. The guy that spilled coffee on me. The guy that talked shit to me. The guy I thought I would never see in my life. I stood in front of the crowd and then he saw me. He looked shocked for a second then just looked plain amused. I glared back at him but that just formed a smirk on his lips. The nerve of this guy!

I ran out of the crowd and dragged Juniper with me to the cafeteria. " What the hell man! I thought I would never see his damn face again! But now he goes to school with me and that means I see him everyday and-- Juniper interrupts," Chill girl chill your talking really fast and I couldn't understand half of what you just said."

I saw slowly," I thought I would never see him Juniper but now he goes to school with me so I have to see him everyday!" She processed this for a moment and said," All you have to do is ignore him for the rest of the school year and when you go to college you will never see him again as simple as that."

I stood there staring at her like she was an alien. "What the hell do you mean simple as that?! That is not simple at all! What if he has the same class as me or worse what if he sits next to me and has to be my partner until graduation! And that means I can't ignore him for the rest of the year, it's literally impossible Juniper!" I said panting.

She looked at me with worry saying," Look I know you guys started off badly but that doesn't mean anything you should just stop being mad at him, but don't act nice to either just be in your everyday mood." I asked," And what mood might that be?" She smiled," That I don't give a shit mood." I smiled widely at her and gave her a big hug. She knows me so well. Then the bell rang and we both parted to go to out classes. I opened my locker to get my books and as soon as I closed it there he was. Standing there looking at me. I was told to be chill so I just decided to walk away but then a hand layer on my shoulder. I shrugged, " Get your hand off of me I'm going to be late for class."

He smirked while saying," Your aware that I'm new right? So I have no idea were to go and the office assigned me to you for help." What a coincidence. I said through gritted teeth," What class do you need to head to?" He said," Science class Room 89." What the hell! He has the same first period as me! I say sarcastically,"Well lucky for me your in my first period." He smirked," Oh honey I have you in ALL my classes." He showed me his schedule. Fucking shit! I can't believe this the day it can't get any worse!

I say," Don't call me honey my name is Halo got it?" He nodded, " Aren't you going to ask me for my name?" I grinned," No because I don't give a shit." He glared at me while I laughed and headed towards class. Well I mean might as well have a little fun right?
