Chanel and Brae drove to the city ,they were meeting Lauren for brunch at Cafeteria. Since her and Brae returned from Miami, Lauren picked up and moved from out of Chanel's apartment .
Outside of coming to work
at the store and club , she stayed to herself and no one had really heard from her. The only person that would really know what was going on with her is Arielle. However, Arielle
would never tell Lauren's secrets unless they were life threatening.
" So she had movers come and get all her stuff , she left a couple hundred and a thank you letter and left?", Brae asked Chanel.
"Pretty much , she barely responds to text messages . I'm getting worried ", she responded .
"I've been so caught up in buying this house and everything . I don't think I've noticed", Brae told her looking at her watch.
Lauren finally pulled up , leaving her G Wagon with valet and walking over to the girls outside table. It was 70 degrees in New York and they wanted to take advantage of this weather.
The girls got up to hug and greet her .
"Wassup , preggos how's life?", Lauren asked while focusing most of her attention on her phone smiling.
"Hello, Lo. Earth to Lo", Chanel waved her hands in front of Lauren's face .
She finally looked up and gave the girls her attention while they stared at her in disbelief . She was not acting like herself.
"What's up with you ?", Brae asked
"Nothing mom I'm good", Lauren giggled
They engaged in random conversation until each girls food came out. Of course Lauren would order a drink and rub it in the girls face.
"So where are you staying ?", Chanel asked while digging in her salad.
"I have an apartment on the Upper West Side", she told them.
Chanel and Brae looked at each other confused . They knew that Lauren kept a stash but those condos were well over a mill.
" Are you staying with Jeremy?" , Brae blatantly asked.
Lauren was annoyed , the whole set up felt crazy. She wanted people to respect her privacy and understand she needed to sort out a lot of shit.
Truth was she had about $50,000 in her savings and a $500,000 trust that she finally cashed out. Lauren knew how to manage her money well . However, Remy did help her get ahead of the waiting list by calling a few people he knew.
" No I'm not , but I didn't come here to be grilled . So if you don't mind I'm gonna leave ", she told them as she grabbed her bag and dropped 3 twenties on the table .
