Bill found himself sitting against a tree on top of a hill.
'I hope he didn't wake her. Here's to that hope.' Bill thought to himself.
He raised his hand and stuck out his index finger. A small, golden, slightly glowing and shimmering butterfly appeared on his finger. With a slight push of his breathe the butterfly flew off in the direction of the shack.
You seemed to wake up in a small forest. It looked like it didn't cover a large area, but the horizon was blocked by a fog-like substance, almost like clouded water vapour. You seen a small bench in the distance, but not too far. You began walking towards it, examining your surroundings as you strode by. The grass looked as green as it could be, the trees looked as lively as possible and you could hear birds chirping softly and happily.
'What is this place? Is this....a dream?' You thought.
Looking around, you noticed many beautiful flowers. Intrigued, you plucked one from the ground and placed it behind your ear.
You looked up. The trees seemed to reach forever, shrouding the sky, in fact. But you could make out a couple tiny white dots in-between the leaves that appeared to be stars.
As you walked closer to the bench, you noticed how nature had taken its course upon it. Blades of grass snaking around the old wood. Weeds and flowers sprouting from the base of the bench. You sat down. Once seated, the area seemed to be suddenly surrounded by butterflies of all different sizes and colours.
'This place is beautiful,' you thought to yourself, smiling slightly.
"I'm glad you think so," Bill appeared next to you on the bench.
"Is this a dream?" You pondered.
"Yes." You looked down, sorrowful.
"But," you turned to him curiously."This place is real. Deep, in the forest. Many get lost searching for this haven but with me at your side," he took your hand in his,
"It would be no challenge." He smiled lovingly.
You noticed that he wasn't quite wearing his usual apparel. His hat had been placed on the edge of the armrest of the bench, while his trusty cane leant against the arm too. His cloak draped over the corner of the bench with his gloves nowhere to be seen.
While he usually sported a snazzy suit of sorts, now he was wearing a black, button up t-shirt and some sweatpants. His hair also appeared to be looser.
"What's with this casual look?" You raised an eyebrow with a sarcastic grin.
"What else could I say? I needed to blend in." He smiled, leaning his head towards yours. About to place a kiss under your jawline. You woke up quickly.
You slyly reached your hand to the area of the kiss. You beamed as you felt the warmth of his lips resonating on your neck.
'Oh, Bill..' you sighed, contently, lying down once again.
