'Think quick! Think quick! I'm usually good at making excuses, why can't I do it now when I need it?!'

You stood at the top of the staircase not moving to try avoid the creeky floorboards from making sound. You had one hand in your forehead, slightly scratching the top of your head, trying to think of an excuse.

'Think! Think! Think! Oh right!'

You confidently walked downstairs knowing what you were going to say.

Dipper and Mabel were still downstairs finishing up their breakfast while Stan was admiring one of his oldest treasures, placed proudly on a pedestal.

"Ah, one of the originals."

He then knocked it off the pedestal into the trash. (I'm the trash man, I eat garbage! •^• Sorry, I had to.)

"Well, you know what they say. The old make way for the new."

Dipper heard the line that Stan had just said and began to think back to when Ford asked him to be his apprentice. He looked down at his bowl with sorry eyes and didn't dare face Mabel.

You walked towards the kitchen and swung your head inside the door.

"Hey guys," you began. Dipper shot up his head. "I'm just heading out for a bit. I won't be long."
'Yes I will'

"Bu- uhh, where are you going?" Dipper asked.

"I just wanna check out my dad's old place, see how it's holding up. He used to own a place here in Gravity Falls, so his connection to this place one of the big reasons he wanted me to come here. Anyways, cya later."

"Bye y/n!" Mabel said.

"Cya." Dipper said, with a small wave, and you were gone.

Ford let down his contracted shoulders after Bill had disappeared.
"I sure hope he means what he says."

"Her dad's old house, she says?"
Bill looked at the little bird that had landed on his finger and tilted his head to the side. A breeze came by and the bird shook, leaving his feathers floofed up. Bill gently patted them down and with a chuckle said;

"Guess I better be going. You should be to."

Bill stood up steadily, cautious to keep the bird on his finger.

"Go on," he said, "fly back home."

The bird twitched its head looking at Bill, jumping a little and jerked its wings. Bill held his hand up slightly. The bird turned around to look at the horizon, Bill did the same. Bill then twitched the singular finger the bird was standing on upwards, to try indicate flight. The bird took one last glance back at Bill before eventually flying off into the trees.

Bill still locked his eyes on the horizon. Minuscule colours from the sunrise were still left scattered across the sky. Bill sighed.

"Nothing quite beats an early winter's month morning." (Aka late summer, getting cold. Don't get confused :P)

Bill pulled out an old stopwatch from his pocket
9:20

"She's already there. I should get going."

Bill put the stopwatch back in his pocket, not before soon being stopped by seemingly nothing.

"What the-!?"

He found himself unable to move. His feet stuck to the ground as a black cloud formed around his ankles and made its way up in front of Bill's face, in the shape of a body. Two beady, yellow eyes appeared on what seemed to be the cloud's face, and a big white smile. The cloud slowly spoke;

"Hello again, Bill."

Bill grew an angry expression on his face and stared at the cloud's face, before dropping his head down, facing the ground.

'y/n has already reached the house. Could it be? Oh no..'

"What do you want." Bill said in a bland tone.

"You know exactly what I want." The cloud manoeuvred around the back of Bill and slid its finger along Bill's shoulder.

Bill stood there in silence.

"Oh, come on Billy-"

"Don't call me Billy." He interrupted with a sneer.

"Okay then. Anyways, back to the business at hand."

Bill was preparing himself to make a quick move. He knew what to do.

'How did he escape? Was it? Only one way to find out..'

"So Bill," he began, "care to fill me in on what you've been doing recently? It's been quite some time since we've seen each other."

Bill continued to stare at the ground.

"Rumour has it, you have a little love interest in your life."

"What's it to you?" Bill scolded.

"Maybe just, a little sweet thing called, blackmail."

Bill slowly started to reach for a pocket in his golden overcoat.

"I don't know how you escaped,"

Bill quickly grabbed a magenta coloured amulet from his pocket and held it up towards the cloud. He then proclaimed these foreign words;

"F ebobyv yxkfpe vlr yxzh ql qeb xjribq colj tebkzb vlr zxjb!"

"What?!" The cloud screeched. "No!"

The cloud tried to escape before being quickly taken a hold of by a blue light shining from the amulet. In mere seconds the being was concealed within the amulet, soon to be tucked out of sight around Bill's neck.

"Phew," Bill exhaled, "I guess little pesks like Kisho should be dealt with before they become a problem..."

Bill looked back out at the horizon one last time before glancing at his stopwatch.

"Oh well. Better late than never, I guess."

With that, Bill set of towards y/n's, father's old home in the suburbs of Gravity Falls.
