it's been 3 weeks since Gabe and I started dating. I didn't know what our newfound title would include, but he was publicly my boyfriend just as he was privately. He walked with me in between my classes and always had his arm around my shoulders or my waist. The girls who would stare and laugh at me during lunch, quickly dropped those habits.

I felt popular.

I was popular.

Mine and Gabe's relationship has started feeling more real to me. Real enough to where I think I should tell my parents. I can't hide our relationship forever.

Gabe sat down in his seat in Chemistry just as the bell rang. "Hey babe." He said as he kissed my cheek. I turned smiling at him, "I want you to meet my parents." He looks shocked at my sudden statement. "We can't hide this relationship forever and if you make a good impression, they'll totally be cool with me and you hanging out." I add. He nods and agrees to meet them tomorrow night for dinner. I turn back around and copy the bellringer the teacher wrote on the board.

For the remainder of the class period, we copied chemical equation formulas and discussed how certain chemicals interact with others.

Once the bell rang, I scooped up my stuff and followed Melly out of the classroom with Gabe trailing closely behind me.

My thoughts were clouded for the remaining of the school day. I wanted Gabe to make a good impression on my parents. I told my parents that I was inviting a friend over for dinner tomorrow.

I rode home with Gabe the next day to help him pick out an outfit. I selected a light blue button up with a white bow tie and some khaki pants along with dress shoes. I laughed for probably 10 minutes straight at the ensemble. It was the absolute opposite of his normal style. It did turn me on though.

We took my Jeep back to my house and I interlaced my fingers with his as we walked to my front door. I took a deep breath and turned the knob stepping inside.

My mother and father turned from where they were standing in the kitchen and looked my direction.

"Oh good! You're here Rosemary, and who is this?" My mother said smiling as she looked Gabe over. "Mother, Father, this is my boyfriend.." I started, "Gabriel McClendon. Pleasure to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Calderone." Gabe said sticking his hand out to shake with my parents. His manners and sudden personality change shocked me but pleased me as well.

Gabe even shook Jason's hand and continued introducing himself. I began to help my mother pull out the dishes when she whispered to me, "Rosemary he is a wonderful and handsome young man!" I smiled and thanked her, "I believe he is a good choice for your first boyfriend."

I sat down next to Gabe and my parents sat across from us. Gabe plunged into conversation over football with my father and I talked with my mother about painting colors and other random topics.

Suddenly I hear Gabe laugh and I look over to see a big lasagna stain on his shirt. "I'm just clumsy today, aren't I?" Gabe joked earning a chuckle from my mother. "Here come with me, I'll get you something to wash it with." I say wiping my face and standing up from my seat.

Gabe follows me upstairs and I flick on the light in the bathroom. Grabbing a white washcloth, I run it under some warm water and turn my back against the counter and start wiping at the stain. His hands slide to my waist and he picks me up, sitting me on the counter. I continue attempting to get the stain out while Gabe slides between my legs and presses against me.

He starts kissing me and I lose focus of the stain. His kiss becomes harder. "We can't be long." I whisper in between kisses. His hand moved to the region he recently touched and pushed my underwear aside.

"We have to go back." I stopped him. The stain was mostly gone so I hopped off the counter and straightened myself up. We went back downstairs and greeted everyone.

After we finished eating, I helped mother wash dishes while my father showed Gabe his man room. My parents seemed to really like Gabe which makes me so happy.

I dry the last of the dishes and Gabe says goodbye to my parents. We slide into my Jeep and his hand immediately goes to my thigh. "You put on quite a show back there." I laugh earning an eye roll from Gabe.

"You seem so different from your family." He observes. "I'm not, normally. I decided I wanted to change things up when I moved." He nodded at my explanation.

We arrive at the familiar house and I turn the car off. Gabe pulls my face to his and our lips move against each others. "See you tomorrow babe." He says kissing me one last time.

"Mother!" I yell, stumbling down the stairs. Her attention turns from the kitchen to me as she runs out into the living room. She looks panicked and out of breath, "what! what's wrong! are you okay?"

"Sam is coming to Minnesota this weekend!" I smile and jump off the last step. "Oh yay honey!" She smiles and hugs me. I run back upstairs to my room and jump on my bed. It's been so long since I've seen her and I miss her so much.

I text Gabe the news and he asks me if I'm bringing her to the party. Sam would love that.

My phone lights up again.

Gabe❤️: can you come over after school?

I ask my mom on my way out the door and she agrees surprisingly. I text him my answer while I wait on Jason. He finally runs out the door and throws himself in my car.

Now I just wait until the end of the day.

stay beautiful :)
