Ruby's POV

I couldn't remember what happened after Tommy had picked me up and began to moving with me in hes arms the last thing I remembered was us walking further into the woods with the other around us as I leaned my head onto he's shoulder and drifted of into a peaceful sleep knowing i wouldnt get hurt as i felt safe in the arms of this human who was called Tommy.

FLASHBACK

Its been years or months I can't really remember anymore I'm not actually sure half of the time anymore, i cant even remember my own name now god I'm so lonely I don't want to be here anymore I've been dreaming about my parents and how they are telling me to come with them it felt so real like they really am here but I cant even remember who and what they are anymore...

Years of being injected with things I wasn't sure of because they never told me they don't really talk to me they didn't need too not one person was nice to me from time to time some people could come in my room and abuse me they would beat me until I was black and blue they would cut me with a silver knife when that first happened I wished I was dead away from here but i knew this was all real because the pain was horrible.

Eventually the pain had became more bare able I think it was my body becoming used to it I wasn't sure I knew what ever they was giving me that it was different sometimes I felt different when they came to abuse me at night I would be healed by the morning after according to the doctors that was a record every time they come it gets worse and worse I can't remember my own body anymore because it was so different I saw how my body was growing day by day turns into months and then years I wasn't sure anymore I wouldn't have known my own name if they didn't call it me from time to time.

Looking out of the window wishing I could go outside but I knew I could never go outside unless I run from this place hearing what was going outside my cage and heard footsteps coming down the basement to where I was I tried to take to collar off my neck but it wouldn't move it just makes more scars onto my neck as the door opens I run to my bed and acted like I'm asleep like I normally do and just listened to their conversation.

"We are going to be under attack in the matter of hours we need to get her ready as fast as we can we need her powers to protect us"

"But she's not ready yet!?"

"We will have to take her memory and brainwash her to protect us as she would never willingly do it, we haven't been injecting her with that virus for no reason Josh from other people's powers we have injected them into her for years now and we still don't know if she has them now is the time to see if when has them we have to see if she can use them" I heard them as they get closer to my cage getting nervous with the information I just heard they going to brainwash me again and make me there weapon I knew I couldn't let that happen no matter the consequences would be as the last time they did something like that I woke up in blood and it wasn't mine..

I heard my cage doors opening up and I knew I have to do what I've been doing so I pretended to be asleep I felt someone come and take the collar off my neck and pick me up and like to say it wasn't gently either I could tell we was moving because we was walking up some stairs I knew it was time to get ready I have been learning different forms from a book they let me read they didn't know i was learning them of course otherwise I'd been in deep do do if they new the truth.

"Let's give her another shot" once I heard the doctor about to inject me once more I jumped up out of the arms of the guard who was carrying me.

"NO!" I scream out getting angerier and angerier looking around looking for a way out but I didn't find any tilting my head sideways when I felt this power going through my body looking at the doctor and the other people around the house.

"Leave. Me. Alone!" I growled out through my teeth moving my hands forward and throwing them all off guard throwing them into the walls knocking them out with all the force I had.

Shifter 1 has escaped.

I looked up from my hands shocked to what I had done turning round and heard loads of people running towards the house panicking I quickly thought of an animal I have learnt thinking of only one in short noticed and shifted into my wolf running towards the door knocking it over and began to run towards the woods I heard a whooshing sound coming closer and saw something shot past me making my eyes widen as i saw bullets enbelded into the tree where they had missed closing my eyes wishing for myself to wake up.

'Wake up Ruby, Wake up!'  i screamed to myself knowing or hoping this was a dream.

PRESENT

I felt something soft on my lips I felt the sparks going from my lips and like something holding onto my waist keeping my eyes closed enjoying the feeling of what ever it was against my lips I wanted to respond so I did what felt right and moved my hands trancing my fingers against what seemed like a face by the sparks I felt and how safe I felt I knew who it was and I didn't care I was safe in his arms and I think we was kissing well he was until I started to kiss him back we we're kissing for a while until we started to struggle breathing.

We pulled away from each other leaning out forehead against each other opening my eyes and saw the one person I knew it was staring back at me making my eyes change colour looking up at the one person i trust.
