Tommy's POV

I heard my wolf howling with happiness having her in my arms like this made me want to stay like this forever gently touching her cheek and the back of her neck gently pulling her forward deepening the kiss.

My mum has always told me to always wait for your mate otherwise you'd regret it so that is what i did, lets just say for my first kiss it was better than any word could describe.

I don't care what any one would say reading this either people could say I'm whipped already but honestly at least I'm not like any of those dickheads or man whores like i have heard my father was before he met my mum; growing up my mother taught me to always have manners and always treat every girl properly i know for a fact that if people found out about me being a mummy's boy that would have my reputation down the hill so i kept all that separate.

Pulling away to lean our foreheads together trying to control our breathing as was began struggling i felt her hand moving near my leg that had my hand resting there i felt her connecting our fingers together and i couldn't help but smile when i noticed our hands fitted perfectly together, all we did was sat there in each others arms and i loved it surprisingly.

"Y...your Tommy" i heard a voice of an angel looking down and saw her looking up at me.

"Yea, whats your name?" i tried to stop myself from stuttering i suddenly felt little nervous how we were talking now i gave her a small smile encouraging her to keep talking i could tell by the voice that she hasn't spoken in a while because it was very husky and croaky.

"I...I'm Ruby..." i heard her whisper her name all i could do was watch her every move thinking to myself that her name was beautiful and she is beautiful.

'And she is ours'  i heard my wolf comment with what i just had said. 

I looked down at her and saw her staring back at me once she saw i saw her staring she quickly looked away and blushes bending down to touch her cheek looking into her eyes again to show her what im about to say would be the truth. 

"Your very beautiful Ruby" i whispered to her i was going to say it properly but it tried out to be a whisper telling her i was nervous.

"Thank you" looking away from me again and blushes.

We was interrupted by a knock on the door making her jump right next to me and started growling moving closer keeping me closer to her than we had ever been i knew she was scared i felt it already i felt her shaking and whimpering holding onto my hand still.

"Ruby its ok, its just my mum she wont hurt you i promise" touching her cheek, seeing her this scared made me and wolf angry thinking something must have happened to her, her growl quietened down and something inside me thought we didn't want her hurting anymore.

"Mum you can come in" holding Ruby's hand i felt her tighten her grip including her claws but i wasnt sure if she knew she had them out she moved to sit closer to me i knew she properly haven't been near anyone in a while she would be scared thinking about the alpha in the woods and how he howled for her maybe she has been with them for more than a while if she had then she hasn't been near anyone in more than a while.

Why isn't she scared of me though?

'Because she already feels our connection for each other she isn't scared of us because she knows we wouldn't hurt her.'

I heard the door opening and smelt my mum coming into my room i felt Ruby stiffen when she saw my mum i squeezed her hand for comfort hoping it was going to help, i looked at her and saw her eyes had widen and how she wasn't comfortable around other people expect from me which made me feel slightly better knowing my own mate isnt scared of me.

"Hello Ruby" once i heard her say Ruby's name i rolled my eyes knowing she had been listening into our conversation.

"H..hello.." i heard my mate whisper to my mum 

"Tommy can you gave us a few minutes" but once she had mentioned leaving Ruby's grip tighten more than ever making me wince in pain as her claw got deeper in my hand i heard her whispering to herself.

"N..no" she kept repeating over and over again and quietly whimpering at herself making me look at my mum worried.

"Shh its ok sweetie i just wanted to talk to you that's all he can stay if you want" i watched as my mum came closer but not not as much as she probably had watched because when she tried Ruby growled at her telling her that was close enough my mum looked at me asking for help in her eyes but i honest didnt know what i could do this was all new to me.

"It's ok baby i promise ill never let anyone hurt you" i looked at her promising her on my life id protect her i felt her loosen her grip little enough for any one to smell the blood.

Making her look down and i saw the shock in her eyes as she saw my blood on her hands and her claws was still out she took her hand out of mine and whimpered quietly as she moves away from me.

I didn't care if she hurt me she was scared so i took her hand back into mine; i didn't expect her to do anything different but just trust my mum i knew she wouldn't hurt her neither would my soon to be pack. 

"So all I'm going to do was ask you questions" my mum spoke in her gently motherly voice which she does with everyone she meets around the pack members i saw her nod towards my mum telling her she understood.

"Do you know how old you are?" i frowned at her wondering why she was asking that i watched as my mate tilted her head sideways knowingly she was confused.

"How long have you been in your wolf form?" i watched as she put two fingers up to her.

"Weeks?" she shook her head.

"Months?" she shook her head again making me frown theres no way she could have been in her wolf form for...

"Years.."she nodded towards mum i was shocked with the information i had gotten from my mum as she kept asking questions towards my mate i knew she would always be by my side and ill keep her safe after my mum asked all the questions she needed.

She left me and Ruby and she wrapped her arms around me i kept my arms around her whilst i felt her breathing slowly again knowing she had felt asleep again i knew id love her until the end of time for her no matter what i watched her sleep and falls asleep to the rhyme to her heart beat.
