The sun seeped through the space of the black curtains causing me to stir around still tangled in the covers. My hands searched for the arms that was once wrapped around me but ended up with nothing.
I was alone.
I sighed softly not fully acquainted with the feeling of loss and tiredness. Sitting up at the edge of the bed, I yawned softly before slowly getting up to the nightstand; checking if I had any messages.
There was a few from my aunt Denise telling me of what I missed out on her exciting life and some from friends from school asking when can we hang out. Mostly boys really.
I hummed to myself before tossing the smaller object in the middle of the bed hoping it won't bounce back before leaving out the empty bedroom.
My hands rubbed my bare arms from the lack of clothing, keeping warmth as I searched for the tall giant.
The searching seemed to go on forever as I checked the bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, upstairs, and even the closet.
He was no where to be found but he had to be here since his car was parked out front.
My right foot stomped stubbornly as I crossed my arms over my chest defeated.
I was quickly becoming paranoid, my mind making up all kinds of horrid scenarios of what happen to him.
Pulling my bottom lip between my teeth before releasing a soft sigh shaking my head at the surreal ideas, calming myself down slightly as I made my way to the kitchen.
"There's no way a man like that could possibly be in danger," I thought, chuckling softly as I opened the refrigerator.
My head leaned forward into it, searching of what I could make on the early Sunday my back arched.
"Fuck," a deep voice whispered aloud leading me to shriek hitting my head in the process.
I mumble profanities as I moved my small body away from cold death trap rubbing the tender wound.
"What the hell you was doing so deep in the fridge for," Keith chewed out as he munch nonchalantly on strawberries.
I gave him a dumb look seeing if he was being serious.
"You for real?," I asked just in case, " what do you think I was doing in the fridge that contains food for hungry people like me huh."
He swallowed the remains of fruit before he grinned at me, leaning his elbows on the marble island that stood between us.
"You're so sexy when you get all sassy on me baby," he chuckled while I simply gave him the finger before going back to my food hunt.
"Aww don't do Daddy like that," he teased lifting himself of the counter making his way towards me.
"You be quiet but first where you been ugly," I asked as he wrapped his arms around me before placing a kiss to my cheek then temple.
"What yo mean? I was upstairs on the balcony," he said in a duh tone while I leaned back crossing my arms.
"Really," I said, "now where is this balcony?"
He rolled his eyes before grabbing my hand and leading up the stairs like I didn't check a hundred times already. He walked me to the second room to the left as he opened the door.
"See," he spoke pointing at the window sill.
His face was sometimes unreadable to me so I couldn't tell if he was joking or serious at the moment.
