"We got some new neighbors again," my aunt yelled from the living room.
I sighed dramatically, a slight roll in my eyes as irritation filled my veins.
This was the third time someone moved across from us in not even a full year. I was tired of constantly faking the "Welcome to the Neighborhood" act I was forced into with my mom."Ok," I hollered back stiffly not wanting the topic to escalate further then it needs to be.
"I was thinking," she started, my soul seemed to leave my body as I exhaled deeply, "what should we do for this one."
Rolling my eyes once more I answered, "How bout we buy one of them caskets since they'll be dead in the next 2 months," I slyly remarked.
Every person that lived in the house was either old or... well old.
"Do you want your ass whooped or beat?," she rhetorically questioned, her head appearing at the end of the hallway, seeing if I would test her.
The grin instantly left my face a tiny huffed escaping my lips.
"You're gonna have to catch me first," I mumbled under breath softly but my mother knows me all to well.
"What was that," her footsteps bouncing of the tile floors to the wall coming closer, "I didn't catch the last part," her slender fingers rested on her biceps as she leaned against the wall.
"What you mean? Who said that? I thought the conversation was over," I played dumb poorly looking at her with a confuse expression.
She eyed me, scanning every inch of my position soon leaving with "That's what I thought" look.
When I felt the coast was clear, I mocked her doing a terrible impersonation of her voice.
"NYNA," she shouted, quickly halted my childish gimmicks. My heart racing slightly as I thought the unthinkable. "Me and Denise and the rest of the gang will be going out to look for a gift for the newbies home. And since I know you didn't wanna go-hence why I didn't ask you- I want you to help the family get sorted out."
I searched for the clock as the time read 7:21 AM, way to early for me to leave the comfort of my bed on a SATURDAY to do some damn work I didn't wanna do.
"Can't we just-"
"Now Nyna I'm not playing with you this early in the damn morning."
"But if it's to early then why-"
"YOU GOT 2.3 SECONDS TO GET OUT THAT MUTHA FUCKIN BED OR WE FINNA FIGHT," she shouted loudly, the sound of her keys hitting her side as she grew aggravated.
I kicked and hit the bed as silently as I could before throwing the covers off of me.
Soon after they heard shuffling from my room they left to do whatever they went to do, forgetting what their purpose was.
I undressed quickly before turning on the shower, the melodic sound of the water pellets hitting the marble stained floor.
I stared at my naked body as I wrapped my hair up since I just got it done a couple of days ago, the braids still fresh and tight but not like in the beginning.
My hands roamed the sensitive skin of my stomach, hips and ass.
"Fuck I'm fine as hell," I thought encouragingly, a small slap on the left side of my cheek before an easy smile painted my face.
My stretch marks were something intense and unique to me honestly. From the front, it'll seem like I had no flaw on my body. Maybe a few sunkissed freckles here and there but nothing of it
