Finding what i didn't know was missing

I woke up to my 7:00 alarm. I got up and got dressed for school. and after i walk in the kitchen so i could cook my sisters and i some breakfast before leaving for school. I get to my living room and my mom was laying on the couch looking like she just came from off the red carpet.''mom get up'' i said hitting her arm hard enough to wake her.

''huh, what'' she said jerking herself up.

''mom why are you here''

''ha what i-i-i can't be at myy own house'' my mom said stuttering.

''okay mom but you are drunk and i pay the bills not you''

''well here'' she handed me an hundred dollar bill.

''what is this the rent is more than this''

''well look i get allowance and i'm not about to waste it all on you''

''mom I'm your fucking kid and you have two little ''hayhay stop fucking yelling i have a headache'' ''i don't give a fuck about your headache. if you would stop drinking this wouldn't happen''

''hay, hay look i didn't fucking ask for this shit, for you three. i didn't want to be stuck her changing diapers and giving my hard working money to some spoiled kids'' tears feel down my eyes at how stubborn and bitchy she was acting. like we asked her to have three kids. and she acts like she ever did anything for us besides some money from time to time, never enough to pay rent. and until two months ago we lived with our grandma but she died.

''mommy don't leave'' Anna my five year old sister said running to hug her.

''hay, hay come on let go'' she said pushing back Anna making me get even more angry. she looked down at her then smiled ''i have to go sweetie you know that... "bullshit'' i said interrupting her ''fuck you, like i said i can't but here'' she handed Anna a five dollar bill then rushed out. pathetic just fucking pathetic. i said over and over in my head.

I walked over to Anna and kneeled down to her level. ''so what do you want to do with that?'' she looked down then back at me.

''ice cream'' she said sadly.

i jumped up in the air and pointed to the the door yelling ''well then ice cream it is...."and Anna started laughing "grab Lisa and let's go little pumpkins.''

I grabbed the diaper bag while Anna got Lisa together, then Anna got in the front of the stroller bike and i sat Lisa in her lap making sure they both were strapped.

We stopped to get ice cream at dairy queen then we were on our way to school. at first i thought it was embarrassing to be driving around in a stroller bike but a lot of people thought it was sweet. you don't even know how many awws i get on my way to drop Anna off at school. but of course i wasn't going to go to school like that so because my school is right in front of Anna's i drop her off, grab Lisa leaving the bike on the side of the elementary school. i say hi to Anna's teacher who absolutely loves me, she brings me coffee every morning and Lisa a fruit snacks. and at 7:45 it's time for me to start walking to school which obviously isn't far. i get to school drop Lisa off at the daycare at our school then i'm off to first period, math.

''what up niggah'' my friend jimmy said dapping me then sitting down.

''hey''

''so what do you think of the new kid man''

''what knew kid'' i said looking at him confused.

''ah man you ain't heard bru there's a new kid i forget his name'' i swear this guy can't talk for shit, sometimes i really just don't even know what he says. i just roll my eyes and start writing notes.
