Empathy stared
"Pater she's dead, it's impossible. Illogical. Yet she's here." Looking at Morality she half started to cry because of the paradox given to her "Papa my head hurts" She buried her face in Logic's chest. Logic held her and looked up half angrily
"What are you?!"
"Logan it's me"
"You faded i saw you fade!" Morality soothed his daughter
"How dare you introduce her to a paradox?! she''s only a child!" The figure walked forward
"Morality please..." He cut in furiously
"You let us believe you were dead! you let us cry and grieve! why would you do that?" Love blinked back tears
"I'm sorry..." Empathy looked at her
"I know how you feel, but i know the pain you caused as well. i know you're sorry, but i think it's a little late for that. isn't it?" Logic scooped up his daughter, soothing her from the paradox going around her brain. "Is it too late Pater? i know she regrets it." She looked to Morality "Papa?"
"Don't you worry over it kiddo." Morality looked at Love "But it is much too late."
"I'm so sorry for all..." He sighed exasperated
"Don't you get it?!" Everyone turned at the rare sound of Morality yelling. "Sorry isn't enough now" Empathy listened to her Papa's emotions and apologised to Love
"He's right"
"Guys please just let me explain! I might be here but only as your guardian!" Love looked down "I really was dead, but at the same time i was alive, i am alive.... in you. Love can't die. I didn't come back because i brought Red Mist once! who else could i bring! i just didn't want to screw up again and hurt you! any of you, especially you two." Empathy clambered down from her Pater's arms to stretch up on tiptoes and pull Love down. She closed her eyes with a hand on Love's forehead.
"Pater she really is sorry, she was terrified of hurting us again. R - Red Mist" She choked on the name "She blames herself for Red Mist." Logic sighed
"Love, you do crazy things, it's part of you. Red Mist wasn't your fault. Thinking that is the craziest thing you could ever do. but.... that said... seeing as crazy acts are part of you-" Empathy beamed
"They forgive you" Love hugged everyone
"I'll never let you down again!" Morality sighed
"Weren't you listening kiddo? you can't let us down.... you never did"
Love guarded the traits for the rest of Thomas's life, and thanks to her being their guardian, they never needed one.
Caution sat on the sofa with her best friend and commented
"We should write this down Emmy" Empathy giggled and got ready to run
