Weeks passed and so does finals. Finally it was the semester break. Everyone from the apartment was ready to go home for a one week break from school. Ever since that event happened Noriyama and Lily hasn't talked or see each other. The days passed like nothing happened between the two. They were desperate to avoid each other. Aiko ask Lily about what happened and Lily doesn't tell anything. Soon it was the long awaited break. Everyone has taken their own roads going home.
"Lily, I'll be going first, I need to catch up with the last bus this morning"
"Okay, go ahead and be careful. Bye!"
"Bye!"
Lily was almost done with her things and ready to go. She subconsciously peeks at the wooden window opposite of their room where Noriyama is staying. It was closed and quiet. She took a deep breathe then sighed. She was frustrated to what happened to their last encounter. She had a feeling that Noriyama is hiding something but it must be possible too that it is not what she was thinking. "That coward!" She blurted out with a frown.
Troubled by her thought she started to walk off of her room with her bag and wallet. She's still pondering of that memories and she's angry with herself for forgetting it. A sudden pain occurred in her head, causing her to drop her bag and held her head tight. As the pain stays, a different images comeback at once, the loud familiar laugh of a child, the huge tree where they lay, the old hut near the river and the new scene from before.
A child was crying out loud by the wound he was holding and she holds a medicine kit and seated beside that crying kid.
"You're really a klutz I would tell your mom to not let you hang around with me anymore. You're such a pain!"
"But-but! I don't know that I'll be wounded! This mountain is scary"
"Sissy"
"Lily you're so rude" The child cried while Lily was patching his wound
"Who even told you to tail me around?"
"B-because if I don't go with you, I'll be alone again and I don't have any other company besides you"
"You have that old man, you know the caretaker of the house" The boy cried louder
"What is it now!?"
"Lily?" Her consciousness snaps back to reality as she heard someone call out her name
"Ken"
"What are you doing in the middle of the road?" Ken noticed her bag lying on the ground and Lily sits beside it
"Oh I was uhm.... I was about to go" Lily get up and pick her bag
"I see going back home, I am too. Let's go?"
When Lily and Ken arrived at the bus station they bid their goodbyes and part ways. Lily was sitting beside the window alone gazing at the busy people outside the station.
"Lily is that you?" A woman with a pink blouse and white jacket approach her and sits beside her. Lily was still recognizing the face of the lady.
"What? You don't remember me?" the girl ask "Well I can't blame you we weren't close during our elementary days but you're quite popular at our class not in a good way though. You know I have misunderstandings about you. I just hope that past is already a past. I'm a good and kind Lady now so.... Anyways, I saw---"
"I think I know you" Lily interrupted. The lady just smile brightly "You're the noisy parrot" The smile in the lady's face just vanished
"Rude as ever! that's why nobody likes you, well... except for that one, that kid who have nasty glares. You two suit each other. Well I don't mind whatever you say now it's not like I'm close with you or anything" Lily is starting to get irritated by the noisy parrot "Are you going home? Where are you studying now? I'm at RSU. Did you get invited to the reunion? Oh! I don't think so, no one has a contact of you. I never intend to offend you but you have your ways to irritate others. I was surprised someone can tolerate your behaviour" Lily was frowning the whole trip and the lady just keep on rambling her thoughts about her and their past.
