Lily is a nineteen year old girl living in a rural area ever since she was born. She had an accident when she was fourteen and unable to remember that event, because of that she became gloomy and others find her weird. Now that she was in college, she is hoping that she can have friends. Her mother Sia was worried about her ever since, she supports her studies by being a barangay official, a treasurer to be exact. Her father was long gone and it's been hard for her mother to raise her.

Lily was intelligent, kind and warm though the only person who knows that was her mother. She was unable to make friends because her classmates thought that she's a weak child, she look fragile. Despite being in that state, she was wishing for a better future, that is why she was eager to study college in the city which her mother do not approved. One thing she was confused with was her first picture when she just woke up after her accident. She was lying on her hospital bed looking lost, above all she was holding a purple hyacinth, since then she always read books about herbs and flowers. She asked her mother about that picture but her mother always avoids the question.

On the last week of summer in the recent year, she visits the place she always stayed, according to her mother it was the old hut near the river in the foot of the hill. She hasn't lost the memory of her youth back then. For some reason she really want to remember those days she spent in that place. She only heard some stories from her mother that before, she was a cheerful child that she always play outside the house with the son of their only neighbour. Her mother said his name was Ken but she knows nothing about him nor remember anything they have done before. Even his name is so unfamiliar. Asking about him from her mother is hard since her mother seem to dislike him.

She had an argument with her mother about this and that time shediscovered that this childhood friend of hers was the reason why her motherdoesn't want her to study in the city, he was living there and studying at thecollege institute she prefers. Being that, she was more motivated than beforeand curious about Ken. There then she realized that Ken must have the answersshe was looking for.
