Im Jaebum has always been a mystery to Youngjae. All he knew was that he'd get into fights A LOT but usually for a great cause, like for his friends. It's always been Youngjae's belief that there's a good in everyone, some just choose to hide it.
He'd love to know more about the boy, but Jaebum was like a star that he can't reach. He hears Jaebum's name from his classmates a lot, claiming that he should've been an idol because of his voice. He hasn't heard it but it must be good since everyone was talking about it.
If not about his voice, Youngjae's classmates talk about his "deadly" looks. Youngjae admits the boy was drop dead handsome (if that was a thing), that's why he was nervous when his "friends" asked him to sing for Jaebum in the subway train.
You know those group of people who claim that you're friends but only notices you when you notice them first? Those "friends" who'd ask you to carry their bags or ask you to do embarassing things? Youngjae had such friends.
He didn't regret it though, because those friends helped him meet Im Jaebum. Though Jaebum didn't know what his name was, he got the chance to know what his voice was like.
Meeting Im Jaebum was great but being his friend was the best. Youngjae got to experience how to be important to Jaebum as his friend. That's why he started falling, fast. He didn't want to acknowledge it because the feeling was strange for him. He fought it but his love was greater so he fell, completely.
But love isn't easy, there'll be ups and downs that you won't expect. You'll do things that you think are right, but they aren't. Things will happen and you'll have to decide if your love is worth it or not. And Youngjae was weak.
He never liked taking risks just for him to get the upper hand. If the choices included him having to let Jaebum go, he always would. They were similar but different at the same time. They'd both do anything for their friends but with VERY different methods.
He gave up his happiness for his friends' safety. He made a deal with a devil, a devil named Lee Youngjae. It was funny for him because who knew that 2 Youngjaes would be inlove with the same guy. Also, that 2 Youngjaes could be VERY different.
With the help of Jinyoung, he contacted the guy and made him agree not to harm any of them as long as Choi Youngjae stayed away from Jaebum. He agreed but with a condition that they'd stay in one place so he's sure he won't contact Jaebum.
Youngjae(Choi) found it hard of course, but he had to do it for his friends. He still had contact with Jinyoung and would see him from time to time but made him promise that he wouldn't tell anyone.
He wasn't sure when the arrangement would end because when he asks, the other one would say "When he doesn't love you anymore."
And when the psycho found out that Jaebum saw Youngjae(Choi), he hurt him. He hurt him pretty bad. He even threatened to kill all of them if he decides to see Jaebum again without him.
That's why they're in an amusement park, because he decided that it wasn't fair for Youngjae(Choi) to see Jaebum so they'll see him together. But Lee Youngjae wouldn't be Lee Youngjae without annoying the "live of his life". So he decided to act couple-y with the younger one to piss Jaebum off.
Youngjae(Choi) doesn't get why the guy liked pissing Jaebum off when he claims that he loves him. Seeing Jaebum with such hurt in his eyes made him want to cry his eyes out. It was haunting, it was ripping his heart into pieces.
That's why when he touched Jaebum's arm, he grabbed on tightly as he let go of the other one's hand. He just needed to do this without thinking of anything that could and would happen. It was time to be selfish.
As Jaebum was supposed to throw a punch, Youngjae pulled his arm and started rumning. He didn't know where he was running to but he needed to get out of there, with Jaebum. They were out of the theme park and near the highway, they were running to the bus stop.
But he was stopped by the older one who stopped running with him. His heart stopped. Does Jaebum not want him anymore? Was he tired of him? Did he hurt him so much that he doesn't want to be with him anymore?
"What are you doing?" Jaebum asked. Youngjae couldn't answer. There was a big lump on his throat and his tears would instantly fall if he opened his mouth. He never thought about how Jaebum felt with all of these. He always assumed that Jaebum would easily get over it but everytime he thinks about it, he felt scared.
He let go of Jaebum's hand and started crying while sitting on the ground. Jaebum was stunned. He started panicking because of how hard Youngjae was crying, then it started raining.
"I'm sorry hyung. I'm so sorry! I'm sorry for everything! I'm sorry I let you go two times! I'm sorry I didn't trust that you had a plan! I'm sorry I lied to you! I'm sorry y-you had to go through everything alone! I'm so sorry hyung. But please don't let me go. Don't do the same mistakes that I did because I don't want you to go through the hurt I went through. Please don't let me go no matter how much I push you away. Please hyung. I love you." Youngjae said as he was crying on the ground. Both of them were drenched. Jaebum didn't know what to say to the younger one.
Jaebum pulled Youngjae up and started wiping his tears. He cupped the younger one's face and kissed him passionately. It was full of hunger and longing. Youngjae started crying even more and Jaebum cried too. But this time, it was because of happiness.
The two looked at each other's face and smiled. Youngjae then asked, "Hyung, what am I to you?"
"You're my one and only sunshine." Jaebum answered. The pair smiled at each other as the rain slightly stopped.
"EWWWWW" Jackson and Bambam said as they emerged from Mark's car. The other boys laughed from the window and went out as well, except Mark who was driving.
It was a moment that all of them wanted to last forever. All of them were happy and they were together. They couldn't ask for more. But of course, a certain someone wouldn't let that happiness last. He will stand by his words. He will kill all of them.

Okay so the next chapter will be the last chapter and then the chapter after that will be the epilogue. This will not have a 2nd book BUT "alive" will be like a sequel to all 3 books (sunshine, ferris wheels and cheerleader) if that makes sense and it'll be the last book of the "little bird series".
