Questions- Chapter 38

(Charley's P.O.V)

Warmth was all I felt when I woke up almost felt like nothing horrible ever happened

I half expected to be home but the expensive black bedspread and add the handsome yet massive man who piercing grey eyes were staring daggers at me told me I wasn't home.

"So you've been here just watching me sleep ..yeah that's not weird" I joked lightly

He continued to just stare no attempt to speak

"Sooo no response...that's normal"

I examined the bed trying to find Mason. My eyes finally adjusted to the dark room.

I heard his soft snores before I saw him on Aiden's chest it took all my willpower not to Awwwh at the sight it was very fatherly

Aiden had propped himself up with several pillows and Mason who didn't even take up half of his chest was sleeping soundly

"What time is it?" I felt around trying to locate my phone to no avail

Again Aiden said nothing but signaled with his hand to come over to him

I scooted up some leaving very little personal space

Aiden wanted me closer so with his free arm he pulled me as close as possible and pulled my free leg over his waist

It felt like one big squished family photo

Aiden with the same free hand he drew small circles on my back

It was nice hearing Aiden's heart beating and Mason soft snores it was calming

"It's still early you guys have only been asleep for about 4 hours " he sighed

"I'm so happy that nothing happened to you two" his words were so comforting

He placed a small kiss on Mason's head and Mine as well

He was very cozy and I felt safe but today's events flashed through my head.

I sighed and then I remembered all the unasked questions I had and thought it'll be the best time to ask

"Aiden lets play a game!"I forced enthusiasm because a part of me didn't want to know

I felt Aiden tense up slightly

"A game?" he questioned

"Yes!" I smiled "I just made it up ... here are the rules we'll have to be 100% honest we both get 2 vetoes and the game stops when I want!"

I had to make the game sound fun when it really wasn't clever at all

Aiden stayed silent then chuckled

"Doesn't sound like a game, but I'll play whose first?!"

"Hmmh... you can go since I'm the rulemaker"

"Okay, favorite color?"

I laughed "Blue, easy questions first I see okay Favorite movie?"

He took a second to think "Between Scarface And Godfather I love gang-ster movies"

I couldn't help but laugh at how he pronounced Gangster he spaced the word out it was so ridiculous

He ignored my laughter "When you were younger what did you want to do? I can admit I wanted to be Astronaut"

I didn't have to think " I wanted to be an Artist but I'm happy with my choices, So what exactly do you do?"

I peered at him

"Im a businessman simple as that" his tone was so flat

"So you're only a businessman not related in a gang or some type of mafia?"

He laughed so hard that Mason stirred a little

"You watch too much Tv.No, I'm not a Criminal mastermind I promise"

After a few more chuckles he cleared his throat "Okay what about your Parents?"

I stiffened "What about them?

"Tell me about them"

"Vetoe"

"Come on just tell me a little about one maybe your mother?" he questioned eagerly

"My mother...she died about 6years ago she was very passive... that's the nicest term to describe her. She didn't really raise me my grandmother did ..but my mother wasn't a bad person, she did the best she could in her situation "I held onto him tighter

"Situation?" He asked

I changed the subject

"What exactly does Samuel do for you? and don't just say, Butler or caregiver, I've seen what he can do."

"He is my butler/bodyguard" he gave me very little information and the look on his face screamed drop the subject.

"How do you feel about me?" he added

I was taken back "I think you are a great guy, very protective, very caring and I'm happy to have met you"I felt like this game was heading down a bad road

"Welp!! this was fun I think I'll take a nap"

He leaned down placed a soft kiss on my lips "I'm happy you and Mason walked into my life" his tone took a darker note" and I'll make sure it will stay like that"

Before I could respond the drowsiness took over and I drifted off to sleep again 

^^^Told Y'all it was a short Chapter but I think Ik exactly where I'm going with the Book so it'll probably be a Book 2 of The Unexpected Surprise and probably only a few more chapters of this book 😱😱Book 2 is Already in my head just haven't written a thing lol
