Rage-Chapter 39

(Aidens P.O.V)

Charley snores finally lightened up that I could actually regroup and think about how this day even started I looked at the two people who I almost lost today the mere thought made my stomach turn I checked my phone and no real update whoever this "Mother" person is she chose the wrong person to mess with with

(Few Hours Earlier)

Driving to the apartment that weak man voice echoed through my head.

"Mother" I had a great memory and I remember Charley's file her mother was deceased unless I got the wrong documents it's just not adding up

And another thing that has been nagging me is that I still don't fully know anything about Mason's father or anything about the company she keeps like Mia or even that young goth girl a lot of mistakes that I don't usually make I rubbed a tired hand down my face I feel like I aged in just a few short hours

She felt so small in my hands earlier as she cried her eyes out Mason looked so traumatized. They looked to me for protection and I will do so at any cost. I gripped the steering wheel tighter as I pulled in the loft and entered my home to silence.

Charley was curled up in a ball Mason snuggled in her arms with almost no effort I lifted them both up and carried them into my room I laid them down. And went to the bathroom to shower of that disgusting Russian's blood.

The anger I felt about today pulsed through me I couldn't place it I wanted to ram my fist down that Russian's throat I counted and tried to calm my nerves I finished my shower and got dressed. Re-entering the room I was met by my favorite little guy Mason he was drowsily rubbing his eyes scanning the room. I scooped him up and kissed his cheeks "Den Den" he mumbled and fell back to sleep on my chest while laying down. Charley naturally moved closer to me wrapping her arms around my waist this setting felt so perfect so right. I have to protect this. I called Samuel

He answered on the first ring "Yes"

"I need you to go ahead with what we discussed earlier"

"Are you sure Charley isn't gonna like it"

"After today I doubt she question my action"

"Okay sir"

I hung up the phone not a moment sooner Charley woke up

Charley's P.O.V

I woke up to a sloppy kiss on the forehead and a loud laugh.I peeked one eye open and was met by an eager Mason I scanned the room and not an Aiden insight I hate to admit that made me sad but it did he's always leaving a bittersweet thought

"Mason wheres Den-Den?" I asked just curious maybe he told him

Mason smiled "Den Den woke up ......and" he paused in thought trying to think "wowk he has to wowk he told me to wach you cuz I'm a big boy"

He beamed Mason did his happy dance"Mama before Den Den left he showed somting!"

Mason grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the room I've never explored Aiden's house and I never really had a strong desire too he has to many things and that makes me nervous. Mason lead me down maybe 4 doors from Aiden's rooms
