There is nothing better than hearing your child say I love you,
knowing that love and devotion is pure and true.
A simple smile will brighten your day,
And in return all you can say,
Is I love you too,
It isn't what you do, it is because you are you.
A hug and a kiss,
I will never dismiss.
A kind friendly word,
Is sweet sounding, like the chirping of a bird.
The joyful laughter,
Remains long after.
Your playfulness is just amazing to see,
When we were told that was never to be.
I hold you dear to my heart,
I always will my dear son until we must part.
I want you to know,
How much I love you so.
That love and devotion that is pure and true,
Extends from me to you.
