It was about mid September now, and even though only a few weeks had passed it seemed like forever. Adrian woke up to an empty room and rolled over towards the window with a sigh. She had to get up for her afternoon classes soon, and then be up for the rest of her classes in evening. It worked out good for her, considering she was a vampire and all. The sun was too irritating to deal with everyday. She was just glad her roommate didn't find it weird that she had absolutely no classes during the daytime. They had grown awfully close these past couple of weeks; allowing Adrian to learn a little bit about Evangeline's past. The poor girl was homeless and only managed to get into college with a full ride because she worked her ass off in high school. Adrian had shared a bit of her past with the other girl also, within reason of course. She had informed the girl that she didn't get along too well with her family. They also didn't want her going off to college instead of helping the family which is why Adrian was here at 22. As opposed to the normal freshman age of 18 or 19.

Adrian's phone suddenly came to life loudly and she rolled over to quickly shut off her alarm. Shoving the blankets off herself she slid out of bed and stood for a minute simply examining the room. It was kept fairly neat for such a small space which helped keep Adrian from going insane, she couldn't stand a messy room. On one wall stood the closets and the dresser, opposite them where the beds on either side of the room. Their desks were pushed together in between the two beds. While the walls on Evangeline's side of the room where bare, the walls on Adrian's side were covered in artwork.

She walked over to her closet opening the sliding door to see the array of colors hanging up. She sifted through the clothes under she pulled out an old band tee and a black zip up hoodie. She pulled a pair of leather leggings out of the dresser and got dressed. She slipped her feet into her untied combat boots that came up to mid calf. She didn't bother to tie them since she was too lazy, she only bent down to pick up her discarded backpack. Grabbing her key, ID, and phone she headed out the door and then out of the building. The sky was just beginning to light up with different colors as the sun was about to begin it's descent into the horizon. Adrian pulled up her hood and slid on a pair of shades and made her way across campus.

As she passed she took in the tree's that were starting to turn the colors of autumn. She smiled at the serene scenery and took out her phone quickly snapping an artsy picture for reference later. She was definitely going to be painting landscapes today. She made it to the Arts and sciences building in no time, She walked down a long hallway until she reached the elevators. Hitting the button she relaxed her weight onto one hip and waited for the elevator to arrive. Her gaze drifted to the art hanging on the wall, and upon hearing the elevator open she walked forward without shifting her gaze.

Causing her to bump into the person exiting the levator making them both fall to the ground.

"Shit, I'm sorry" Adrian apologized and quickly gathered the girls flyers which had gone everywhere.

The girl had long black hair and vivid blue eyes, she was definitely an upper classman somewhere in her twenties. The girl grabbed the rest of her flyers and stood up to meet Adrian's gaze.

"It's no problem at all, I shouldn't have rushed out of the elevator so fast. What's your name?" The girl asked her voice had a slight lilt to it

"Adrian, yours?"

"My name's Jessica Cole, you're a freshman right?"

Adrian nodded in response.

"That's awesome, here take one of these flyers. I'm one of the leaders for Kappa Zeta Tau and it would totally cool if you came to one of our pledge meetings!" Grace said with fake excitement.
