(A/n: sorry its been a while. Life has been kind of hectic but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Plz be patient with me....or don't, i guess i cant make you lol. Anyway enjoy)

It had been a couple weeks since Adrian had walked out on Evangeline after their argument. Adrian had started avoiding the other girl, although she had been around for a while Adrian had never quite managed to shake her habit of holding a grudge.  She knew that her arguments were pointless without proof and she hated being wrong when she knew for certain that Jeremy was bad news.  Adrian had begrudgingly admitted to herself that part of the reason she was mad in the first place was because she was jealous.  Evangeline was a beautiful girl so of course Adrian felt a little taken with her but she would never act on it.  Needles to say avoiding her had been easy despite Evangeline's attempts to talk to her. Adrian was no stranger to sleeping all day and being up all night, and when the other girl was in the room trying to stay up late to catch her, Adrian would just spend the night out doing whatever.  This wouldn't last forever though, they were roommates after all.  So Adrian had decided to call someone she thought she wouldn't have to call ever again in order to expose Jeremy.

Making her way up to the roof Adrian shook her head at herself, the lengths she would go to to prove she was right in an argument.  She took out her phone and dialed the last number she could remember Diedra having.  Of course it was no longer in service, Adrian figured Diedra would have changed her number so she decided to call the girl's mother. This time Someone answered the phone.

    "Hello?...who is this?"

"Hey Mrs. Collins, it's uh Adrian. Diedra isn't around is she?" Adrians voice was tense with uncomfort.

"I may be old girl but you don't fool me. What do you and that nasty coven want with my daughter?" Mrs. Collins voice was stern, Adrian knew without doubt she was not one to mess around with.

"I swear on my soul this doesn't concern the coven, only me. I wish no ill will on either of you I simply have a favor to ask of Diedra. I have a friend who might be in some trouble, I simply need a potion" Adrian spoke firmly to hide her worry and fear. If this plan fell through she had no backup in place.

She heard a sigh on the other end of the phone along with the woman screaming her daughter's name causing Adrian to cringe.  After about a minute of silence she heard the phone being shuffled around followed by an annoyed hello.

"h-hey Diedra...it's Adrian I need to ask a favor of you"

"Dear gods, I felt that you would be turning up sooner or later though I wished it wasn't true. What do you want leech?" Diedra placed all the venom she had into the word and Adrian felt the sting as if the other girl had psychically struck her.

"Listen Diedra I'm sorry and I know there's nothing I can say to make it right, I regret so much how our relationship ended. You didn't deserve the strife I brought to your life, I hadn't much of a choice in the matter. If I didn't end it you know my mother would've had my head, but please this is important" Adrian pleaded

"Always an excuse, you always have a choice you just didn't want to consider your options," Didra scoffed over the phone "But I see I won't be rid of you until I see what it is you want. So out with it, the faster I get this done the better."

"my roommate, is in trouble, I think. Listen there's this sceevy guy trying to get in her pants and I know there's something off about him but I need proof. I need a spell and you're the only witch I know."

"so you expect me to drop everything to do a spell for you just to get a guy outta the picture so you can go after this girl. Tell me, why did you think calling your ex-girlfriend with this request would help you? You are absolutely unbelievable"

"You can call me all the names you want but I do truly want to help this girl because she is first and foremost my friend. Contrary to what you may think I'm not heartless, besides she isn't interested in me anyway." Adrians voice dropped to an almost whisper as she stared out at the sky from the rooftop.

The sun was beginning to set and the sky lit up with a million colors. She swallowed back memories of her and Evangeline's argument and brought her attention back to the matter at hand. She heard Diedra's sarcastic laugh on the other end, and grit her teeth preparing herself for the harsh words to come.

"Wow, finally karma has come around. You find a girl and surprisingly you can't woo her off her feet. How tragic..." There was a long pause and Adrian thought for a moment Diedra had hungup until the other girl spoke again, "Alright I'll come by and help you out, but only to see you bitter and alone; and because contrary to what most believe I am not heartless."  Adrians own words echoed back to her from Diedra's mouth shook her to her core.

Immediately after Adrian heard the resounding silence on the other end as Diedra hung up the phone without so much as a goodbye. This all seemed a little too much to bear, although, Adrian was sure she deserved the misery.  She tried often to right her wrongs but not all had been rectified. She was surprised to feel a cold tear roll down her cheek, Adrian wiped it away quickly and cleared her throat. Now was not the time to feel sorry for herself; she had to go down to the room and figure out what she should do before Diedra's arrival. Adrian was also painfully aware of the tension still lingering between her and her roommate. That was something that also needed to be rectified.
