After our trip, we buckled down the last few months of school and took our last high school finals. After my last final, I went looking for the others as Brandon came out of his class running towards me picking me up and running through the hall screaming. We finally caught up with the others after they were done.

Now that was over we only had two things left to do: prom and graduation.

A few weeks ago I heard someone yelling, "Maddox!"

Like before I ignored it then I heard, "Oh Maddox!"

Then I heard, "Brandon how many times have I told you not to yell!"

"Sorry, Jake!"

"Hey bro!"

"Hey, Maddox!"

"Were you two raised by wolves?! Stop yelling!"

Ugh, I am never going to get any sleep. I finally dragged my butt out of bed and walked over to the window and stuck my head out, "Will you idiots shut up?!"

"Allie your father is not an idiot!"

"Sorry, dad!"

"It's ok but look down," dad yelled.

I looked down and standing there in the middle of the yard in a big heart with a bunch of balloons was Brandon with prom spelled out in front of him.

"Yes, you idiot! I will go to prom with you! Now I'm going back to sleep!"

Brandon looked at my dad, "Thanks, Jake."

"Anytime Brandon, you know I'm going to help you plan your proposal right?"

He sighed, "Of course."

I look back on that and smiled. I finished getting ready for prom. Austin left to pick up Megan who finally got past her morning sickness.

Sasha and Greg were meeting us there. I walked downstairs and Brandon turned around holding a bouquet of roses. He was wearing a black suit with a black tie. He looked sharp.

I walked over and he gave me a kiss handing me the roses. Dad took a million pictures while mom put the roses in a vase then we were off to prom. We pulled up to the ballroom and walked in to see it all decorated in a theme; Cupid Valentine.

Brandon escorted me down to the main floor. He twirls me around pulling me to him as we danced. This was the perfect night. He held me tight as we danced.

Eventually, we were joined by our friends and all danced the night away. It was the best night ever.

Later on, Greg hosted an after-party at his house. I promised not to break anything this time and we all laughed.

We all hung out enjoying ourselves then stuck around after everyone left. I was sitting on Brandon's lap while Sasha was sitting on Greg's and Megan was laying with Austin.

"So, did you guys get your acceptance letters?" Sasha asked.

"I did," I said.

"So did I," Megan said.

"I did too," Greg answered.

"Yep," added Austin.

"Of course," Brandon finished.

"So where is everyone going?" she asked.

"I'm going to State," I said.

Then I heard everyone say the same except Brandon. I looked at him, "Brandon?"

"Is there any question? Of course, I am."

"Really?"

"Yeah, did you honestly think I wouldn't go to the same school baby girl?"

I wrapped my arms around him giving him a hug and he tightened his arms around me, returning it.

"Do you think we'll all stay friends when we're older?" Megan asked.

"I would like to think so. I mean you are having my baby," Austin said casually.

"Allie?" She asked looking at me.

"I think if it's meant to be it will be that's what I've learned."

"You know you've come a long way since this time last year Allie," Greg said.

"It helps when you have people who love and care about you. I was in such a bad place last year that I never realized how much one person could destroy another until it happened to me. That's why I've decided to help people."

"Really?" Brandon asked looking down at me.

"Yeah who better to do that than someone that has been there."

"I think you'll do great," he said giving me a kiss.

"What about you hun?" Sasha asked Greg.

"I'm going to be a cop. I want to help put the criminals away. What about you babe?"

"I'd like to be a teacher. What about you Megan?"

"I'd like to work with children. Austin?"

"What else? I'm going into the family business."

"Cop out," I said.

"What about you bro? What do you want to do?"

"Well, besides making your sister happy. I want to be that guy that helps battered women. I mean what guy is going to mess with someone that looks like me?"

We couldn't argue that. We all sat around talking about our futures and what baby names we thought would work for the baby.

"Bro you better hope the baby isn't born on Valentine's Day or dad will give it some name to represent it as he did with us," I said.

"Tell me about it. Who gives their kid the name Valentine?"

"Dad," we both said together.

"Oh no worries there," Megan grinned.

"Why?" He asked.

"Our baby is due on Christmas."

We looked at each other and facepalmed our faces. Poor kid.

I sat there watching the sun coming up and Brandon came out and sat down next to me taking my hand in his.

"I'm surprised you're still up," he said.

"Just admiring the beauty of nature," I sighed wistfully.

"It reminds me of how each day is a new beginning like that first night I climbed through your window."

"I remember that. It was a couple of month into my relationship with Dane and I remember we had gotten into a fight. That was the first time he had hit me then made me feel like it was my fault. I remember laying there in my bed crying feeling like if I didn't do this or that I wouldn't have made him angry."

"I heard you crying and set up a ladder climbing into your window. I remember seeing you curled up in a ball on your bed sobbing. Then when I saw the bruise I was so angry," he said looking at me.

"I remember you crawled next to me and wrapped your arms around me and I felt so safe like I didn't have to be fearful of saying the wrong thing."

"Baby girl I promise you, you will never have to worry about that anymore."

"I love you, Brandon."

"I love you baby girl."
