Its was Wednesday evening and Christine was in church, in the church college bible class listening to a very interesting lesson about trusting God. And that led to being careful who you put your trust in. Christine couldn't help but think of Erik when they were talking about that. 'Am I too trusting? Can I trust Erik......? What am I saying of course I can! Well maybe I'll be a little more careful. I don't want this decision to end up badly considering he's my only option for a vocal teacher.' Christine decided then to stop her thoughts and listen and focus on the lesson.
On Thursday Christine was getting everything ready for her vocal lesson. She couldn't wait for it. When she was waiting for him, she suddenly had an urge to sing a song that's been playing in her head. She couldn't shake it, but she didn't want Erik to think she forgot her lesson and leave. So she wrote a note saying
Dear Mr. Destler,
Come on in and come to the music room please. I'll be waiting there. Oh I also have something important to tell you.
Christine.
Christine then unlocked the front door posted it on it. She then closed the door and kept it unlocked. She then went to the music room pulled out her iPod touch, plugged it into the 'Ihome' (Which is a little stereo type thingy). She then put on the Instrumental music to one of her favorite songs she'd heard a while ago, and started to sing with emotion like Erik taught her too. Then she did it again a few times.
Erik was walking up to the front door excited and saw the note. He then walked in thought 'What is the important thing she needs to tell me about?' He then heard music coming from the music room. He went in and saw Christine singing.
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I’m the Queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I tried
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Well, now they know
Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don’t care
What they’re going to say
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway
It’s funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can’t get to me at all
It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I’m free
Let it go, let it go
