An Angel's Faith

Chapter 12

As time flew by Erik and Christine met and practiced her singing. Erik noticed that Christine with each passing lesson her voice grew more and more 'better'. Not that it was bad to begin with, he just noticed that she seemed more into it and more focused that she did in the beginning. He was happy and never felt more inspired than ever before. His music room in his house now covered the entire floor and a few stacks along the walls. Erik thought about doing a song written just for her. Maybe not just a song......an operatic song . 'Yes a song like that. Christine would love that.' Erik thought. So whenever he composed he would use his time writing that special song just for her. But since it was to be perfect, it took him a while. But to him nothing less than perfection for Christine. Nadir also kept in touch every now and then to check up on him. Erik new what his friend was doing, if he hadn't been happy with being with Christine all this time, he would have done something terribly awful to Nadir. But Nadir asked something that made him almost want to go over to his house and grab him bye the throat. "WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!!!"

"I said," Nadir repeated over the phone though trying to get his hearing back. "Are you falling in love with Christine?"

Erik didn't give that much thought. Could he be in love? 'No that's ridiculous I hardly know her.' But being with her these past couple of months have been the best months of his life. And she filled his life with happiness. 'What if I am?' Erik thought he needed more time to think about this and hanged up on his friend. "Good day Nair."

"But Erik you didn't answer my-" CLICK "Question." Nadir suddenly grew a little more worried about Christine. He decided to call her to check if everything is alright. So He dialed her phone number. Thankfully She picked up on the second ring. "Hello? Christine?"

"Hello Mr. Collins!! How are you?"

"I'm fine, funny I just wanted to ask you the same thing. How's everything going with Erik?" Nadir asked wanting to see if everything was truly ok with them.

"Oh everything is wonderful, he's helping me so much." Christine assured him.

"I'm glad to hear that anything else?"

"Nope, everything's great! Oh I'm sorry Mr. Collins I've got to go. I have a date soon."

Now that is something Nadir was worried and didn't actually wanted to hear. "A date, might I ask with who? Erik perhaps?" Nadir new he was being nosy but he needed to know.

"Erik? No, actually it's with Raoul. Can you Believe that!?" Christine explained with excitement.

"Oh Raoul, yes I remember him. Well have fun." Nadir said calmly.

"Thank you so much, hope to see you soon bye."

"Goodbye Christine." Nadir then leaned back in his chair and relaxed for a few moments. then suddenly had another idea that made him more worried than the last one. 'What if Erik does love her and knows she's going out with another boy? That would make him....Oh my god.' He decided to call Mrs. Giry for advice.

"Hello? Nadir?"

"Hello Madeline, how are you?" Nadir didn't wait for a reply. "Listen we might have a problem."

"What has Erik done now?" Madeline asked worriedly.

"It's not what he's done, its about what me might do?" Nadir then explained the whole situation to her.

"Well how do you know for sure he loves her? And how do you know for sure he knows about her date?"

"Well I don't know for sure, but he's bound to have known, by Christine. And he didn't give me an answer to if he is in love with her."

"Nadir, perhaps we over worry about things." Madeline pointed out. "Yes we know what he's capable of, but lets think. Has he done anything wrong, from what you know?"

Nadir couldn't think of a time when he did, well not after he met Christine. "Not since his voice lessons with Christine."

"Nothing at all?"

"Not from what I know of."

"Well then let's just wait and see, and just keep an eye out.....and stop worrying about stuff like this it'll drive us both mad." Madeline proclaimed.

"Well I guess so, I just have a bad feeling about this. I'm worried for Christine's safety and whoever is involve with her."

"I know, but like I said let's just keep an eye out. Relax a little."

"Well ok" Nadir knew Madeline always had a way to calm people down and bring them 'back to earth'. "Alright, but if anything goes wrong I'll be getting help."

"Alright Nadir." They then said their goodbyes and Nadir tried to calm down and not think of the matter. Which was a little difficult.

On Christine's point of view everything in her life seemed perfect. her parents grew a liking to Erik, though his teaching was a little tough on their daughter, it did pay off really well. And yes they too thought of his mask, but decided not to address it, not wanting to be rude. Though it was in the back of their minds from time to time. Christine was happy that she found a vocal teacher she could count on. She even noticed the lessons seemed to really pay of as well. But something was on her mind, since the day she went on the date with Raoul, when Meg met Erik.

'Why do I feel guilty everytime I go on a date with Raoul now? Nothing has changed between us? Then Christine thought 'Do I like Erik more than a vocal teacher......No I can't be.......but maybe I do......' Christine always had this special liking to Erik with each lesson that passed. But she always thought it was because he was a good friend to her. Even Nair asked this question when I was going on my date with Raoul, that he thought it was Erik. 'Does Erik love me?' Christine suddenly thought then tried to shake it from her mind, emphasis: tried. 'Well maybe I shouldn't give this anymore thought for now.' Christine realized if she did, then it would show and Raoul would know something was wrong. Though would he really?

Christine noticed that something was wrong with Raoul this passed month. He was always a little late to their dates. He didn't call as often. And when they were on their date his mind seemed to be somewhere else. At first she thought it was just her imagination, but then she realized it wasn't; when she was on her double date with Raoul, Meg and Jason. Well actually Meg brought it up afterword's.

"Is everything alright with you two?" Meg asked Christine when they were at her house.

"I honestly don't know, he's been acting weird lately?" Christine then explained the whole thing to her.

"Wow, interesting, you know Jake noticed that Raoul was acting weird too." He's not hanging out so much anymore, and he's going places in secret."

"Really?" Christine asked a little shocked

"Yeah, apparently he was supposed to go with Jake and a few other guys to play Fantasy football. But He said he had to watch his little brother. But Jake saw that he was in some ally going up to someone's house. But that's all he saw." Meg explained

"Oh my gosh! Do you think he's has a problem with some other people?" Christine was still in shock and now grew more worried.

"I don't know Jake tried too talk to him, but it made Raoul more angry when he brought it up."

"Oh no, what should we do?"

"I think maybe you shouldn't tell him you know this. I promised Jake not to tell anyone but you if you kept his secret. And Maybe you should asked Raoul what's bothering him."

"Ok I will" Christine looked at the time ."Oh gosh I got to get home in time for my voice lesson. Erik would be mad if he knew I was late."

"Ok then see ya later and I'll tell you anything If something happens." Meg said.

"Ok same here." Christine promised. "Bye"

"Bye" With that Christine hurried home to get to her voice lesson. But she couldn't stop thinking about Raoul. 'I hope he's okay.'
