Skyterriens ~The skies~

Chapter 12

I wake up to hear the sound of buzzing. A sticking substance I feel around me. My head is pounding and I feel weak. I try to stand up but I can't, I'm stuck. Then a flood of realisation come to me.
"CALVIN!" I screamed.
I try to remember what happen before I got here. Recalling the events in my head. Memories rush in my head. I feel annoyed and frustrated.

I look around. There are holes on the wall. A sticky web like substance dripping off the ceilings. The same substance that I'm stuck in. It looks like honey but green and muddy. There are lots of loud buzzing noises. Then it hit me.
"I'm in the Infest's nest."

I try to wiggle my way out, but it is no use. I feel like giving up.
"It's over." I tell myself.
"Use your power, you are stronger then those puny bugs." The voice says with its words as sweet as honey and addictive as sugar.
I try to deny them.
"I'm not going to use the power to escape."
"You sure about that, it doesn't matter if you hurt the Infest or not. Let me take control, you can trust me."
I start to doubt it, but I'm tried and weak. I let my guard down and soon the power over whelmed me that it melted the sticky green honey substance off me. I spread my wings and start to destroy everything in my path.
"Why didn't I agree to this before. I feel great." I declare.

I feel power flowing through my blood. Every Infest that comes in my way I defeated them. Their sticky blood drips down from my hands, their corpses lay on the ground lifeless. I feel like I can challenge their queen.
"You made a mistake of bring me here."
"This is wrong."
A voice whisper in my head. I put it in the back of my mind and journey to the middle of the nest.

Suddenly, an Infest jumps down a spits acid on me. The acid stings my skin for a minute before I heal my injury. It spits another jet of acid on me. Using my fast Cloudar's agility. I dodge it. The Infest is bigger, that the others. It is stronger then them, but not me. I smile to myself and charge towards that Infest. I keeps on spitting acid on me and I dodge it with ease. I start to attack, I weave through it legs and launch quick, powerful punches on it's underbelly. It screams in pain. It sways back and forth with its ear piercing scream. I watch it falls dead. I stand on top of its corpse and smile to myself.
"You thought you can defeat me."  I whisper.
I stand on it corpse. Blood dripping down and stains the ground. It have a hole where I punched on the underbelly.
"This isn't what you want."
A voice whispers in my head. I try to ignore it.

I hear a clap, across the the corpse. The clap echoes around the room in a slow steady beat. I turn around slowly and see.
"You."
"You're not going to greet your uncle."
"What do you want."
"I want to offer you a deal."
He clicks his fingers and some Infest comes with people on their backs. I see Calvin, my sister and Amelia all covered in honey web substance.
"I'll let them free, if you join me."
I laugh a bit. The laughter grows louder and louder until it echoes.
"I don't need them to be safe or not. They were in the way of unlocking my true power. I'll not join your side too."
"This is wrong and this isn't what you want. Snap out of it."
The voice declares in my head. I try to fight it reasons, but I feel like it right. It is much weaker than me.
"Wow, I didn't know you could be so cold hearted."
"Shut up or else I'll beat you to a pulp."
"How violent, but nevertheless Infest get him."
The Infest didn't obey his order. I can feel them trying to fight his will. The Infest turned around and start to attack him. They screech and, snarl at him. Acid drips of their beaks. My uncle is a bit shock, he press a button and the Infest were electrocuted. Their shells start to explode off their bodies and their green stick blood flows on the ground.

"How there you disobey me." He says.
He gets his knife out and start to attack me. I dodge and disarm him with ease. With my lightning speed, I charge at him and point the tip of the knife at him. I am about to stab his throat when he grabs my wrist.
"This power, my experiment worked."
He laugh manically. From up close, I can see the bags under his eyes. How frail he looks.
"My weapon is complete. Project half-blood is finish at last."
I jump back and try to attack him again. I cut him with the knife with lightning speed. He doesn't fight back. At the end, I see him dead with a lot of deep cuts on him. His blood stain my clothes and my hands.
"I...wou...would...le..love t.tt.to d.ddd...die....t...to...my...own...creati..."
Dead. He lies there dead. I spit on his corpse.
"I hope you lie there in pieces."
"This isn't right, you're just as bad as him."
I try to fight the voice, but it is too strong . My head starts pounding and my vision is blurry. Then darkness hit me.

I open my eyes, to see blood on my hands and my uncle laying there on the ground. I check his pulse, it is really weak but he is still alive. I touch his chest and let my healing energy flow from me to him. Most of his wounds were covered up. I check his pulse, it is a bit stronger. He is now unconscious. I look around too see Amelia, Calvin and my sister lying on the ground.
"Wake up!" I shout while trying to shake them.
I hear a loud groan from everyone and a wave of relief flows through me.
"What happened?" Calvin asks
"Where are we?" Amelia questions.
"We are in the Infest's nest." I answer.
"What!?"
"There is no time  to explain."
I free them from their sticky prison. I help them up. Soon a swarm of Infest comes straight for us.
"We must run!" Calvin shouts
"How about him?" I ask.
"He's dead." My sister says
"No he is unconscious." I corrected.
I walk to my uncle and carry him over my back.
"Whatever, let's get out of here!" Amelia shouts.
We run for our lives. To get away from the angry swarm of Infest chasing us. We take many turns, we don't know where we are going but we are willing to get out. My heart starts pounding and adrenaline rush through my veins. We see light up ahead
"The exit!" Calvin shouts
We sprint for the exit, we launch ourselves outside and retreated. We escape, but we will be back to kill the queen.
