We were deeper in the forest than I thought. It took us about an hour just to get out of the woods, then another hour and a half just to get near city area.

There was a McDonalds off of one of the main streets so we decided to go in to get food. Louis had ordered a Mcchicken with rootbeer and I got a happy meal with chocolate milk.

As the mcdonalds worker told me that no one over 10 years old can order a happy meal, Louis was laughing like a maniac.

"Its for my little brother in the car."

The lady apologized and put my order into the register.

"Will that be here or to go?"

Louis shrugged.

"Here I guess."

She nodded

"That will be $8.97, please."

Louis hands her the money as I walk around to find a booth for us to sit. I found one in a secluded corner by the far window and sat in it, not wanting to be by any strangers.

After about 5 minutes, Louis came back by me with the tray of food.

"So where's your 'little brother'?"

I shrugged innocently.

"I'm an only child. I just wanted the toy in the happy meal..."

He laughs again as we start eating. After we finish, we throw away the garbage and get back into the car and onto the road.

"So, where to?"

I look at Louis like he's crazy.

"I don't even know what state I'm in!! How would I know where to go??"

He laughs.

"First, we're in Wisconsin. And we could go back to your hometown?"

It felt like a knife stabbing into my heart. The whole time I was kidnapped, I only thought about my home at night when Louis wasn't there, which wasn't much.

Louis always liked to stay with me to make sure I'm okay. I nodded my head while the tears came to my eyes.

"I want to see my mom."

He looks over with a concerned face.

"Are you okay??"

I smile softly. Like I said, he always liked to make sure I'm okay.

"Yea, I just miss her."

Louis gives me a giant smile as if he's up to something.

"Illinois, here we come."

(sorry. its short and crappy)
