"So, it's done this time around?" DeAndre questioned as soon as the waiter left after taking their order.
It's been two months after the whole ordeal and Sophia hasn't tried to contact Blake. For Blake, it made things easier because he wasn't going to lie, there was some part of him that hoped she fought for him, that it would change his mind. However, she never did. She stayed away and that was enough for Blake.
Done.
"Yeah man, how many times do you have to ask me?" Blake wasn't annoyed or anything, but DeAndre made it a point to ask him whenever he could and it was quite often.
"A bunch of times because I know how much Sophia meant to you and how much of a sucker you are for her." DeAndre pointed out.
"Well, she made it abundantly clear that she wanted nothing to do with me." Blake glanced over his phone and a frown appeared on his face. Alena had flown to New York earlier this morning and still no text message from her to say she landed safely. She should have landed by now, Blake should know, he checked these things.
"That's why you keep glancing over at your phone? Almost killing us on the way over here cause you were checking your phone." DeAndre shook his head.
"I'm not checking for her, I'm checking for Alena."
DeAndre smirked. "See, Alena I can get behind on. I don't know why there is no ring on her finger yet, you must be an incredible cock block."
"A cock block? Excuse me?" Blake glared at his best friend. "Alena has had boyfriends, it's not my fault they're not up to par with her standards." It was true, the last thing he would do was hinder Alena from dating, especially when she's done so much for him. At the same time, Alena's standards were so high. It was ridiculous. "I tried setting her up with Austin, she literally laughed at my face and said no. Austin isn't the best looking dude out there, but you know, he has some charm."
DeAndre laughed hard, shaking his head. "Austin can't catch a break." It wasn't the first time they've tried setting up Austin and whoever the tried to set him up with, it was just not happening.
"Right?" Blake laughed as well. "Point is, I've tried setting Alena up and she's just not having it." His phone vibrated, causing him immediately to look at the sender.
It was Alena.
Numero Uno 👑✨
Sorry! Just landed, there was a delay. Hope you're having a great lunch with DJ!
Blake smiled and replied to her.
No worries, you had me sweating a bit, but glad you landed safely. You know I'm enjoying lunch with my boy. I miss you though.
It was sappy, but he was used to having Alena around, it was weird to not have her around. Though he knew she would eventually had to branch out, he was selfish and wished she would stay with him for the rest of his life.
"Lenny texted you?" DeAndre questioned.
"Yeah, she just landed," Blake turned his phone over, not wanting to be rude to DeAndre. "But yeah, Alena is the worst person to set someone up with."
