A/N: I am going to apologize now. I'm sorry, this chapter took a life of its own and here we are now. I hope you guys still enjoy it.

-----------------

Alena's been back from New York for a week now and she hasn't spoken to Blake about Elijah's offer. When he asked about her job interview, she lied and said it went well, but she ultimately decided to stay put in Los Angeles. She could see how happy that made Blake and as much as he tried to mask it, he absolutely sucked at it.

Currently, Alena was getting ready to meet Sophia for dinner.

Sophia was back in Los Angeles for a week to tie up loose ends before moving to Germany permanently. Even though there was a branch in Los Angeles, she and Elijah would predominantly be living in Germany, which she didn't mind. Sophia always liked Germany more than Alena did.

As she got ready, Blake was sitting on her bed, watching her.

"You know, if you want to come, you can dress up." Sophia was an untouched subject between them. Blake didn't want to talk about it, and Alena didn't want to push him.

"I'm good, I don't want to see your sister." Blake wasn't even sure where he was with Sophia. Maybe he should talk to her, to air everything out cause at the end of the day, Alena was a big part of his life and he knew he would run into Sophia eventually. But if he could avoid it, he would. It's only been a few months, he wasn't ready to face Sophia, fearing she might just sucker him back in.

"Afraid she'll bite you? Or wait, don't you like that?" Alena teased, hoping it would ease the tension in the air.

"Fuck you."

"You wish."

"Wish? Naw baby girl, I'll get you one day."

Alena and Blake looked at one another through her mirror before laughter escaped their lips.

"I don't know how anyone lets you touch them." Alena knew it was a fucking lie, but it's been working for all these years, it was second nature to her now.

"Give me one night and you'll find out why."

Blake and Alena always had this playful banter, something that was all fun and games. Obviously for Alena it meant something, but she never let it get to her head. For Blake, he was always curious to see what would happen if there was something there. He wasn't dense, Alena was a beautiful girl and he counted his lucky stars every day whenever he saw her. Alena was a blessing in his life and what DeAndre told him made sense, maybe he held Sophia in such high regards because of Alena.

"Its okay, I don't need one night to find out how small your dick is," Alena slipped on the bracelet Blake gave her for Christmas, smiling at the simplicity of its beauty.

"Look at you, trying to play it off," Blake stood up and took the Alena's necklace from her dresser, putting it on for her. "You going to be okay?"

"Yes? Why wouldn't I be?" Alena questioned. "Blake, honestly, if you want to talk to her, I can set it up." It was such a stupid suggestion. The last thing Alena wanted was for this whole distraction bullshit to start once again.

"I don't want to see Sophia," Blake insisted. "She's your sister, I would never pit you two against one another."

"But you're hurt."

"Lenny, she was never going to tell me about her fiancé."

"You don't know that."

"Why are you even defending Sophia? Are you not on my side?"
