It's been 2 months that Jess has been sent to a mental asylum,in case you didn't know.Apparently,reportedly,she went crazy at the jail and tried to hurt other police officers.She even tried to hurt Karrueche when she went to her to initiate a deal that she gives her Cass,but she went mad.That's what K told me

Cass has been asking about her mom,she is scared of her yet wants to see her mommy.K has been treating Cass like her own surprisingly.I failed to understand at first but when she told me she couldn't give birth ,I understood why.Best believe, we are a happy family

K is now the new CEO of Gousette,Jess's company.Until she gets better,I really don't know how she did it ,I didn't bother to ask questions though.At least K cared for Jess somehow, that's what I thought.But at the same time it didn't make sense

Look at it,K and Jess became friends.Next thing,they beat each other up and K sends Jess to jail and the K takes care of Jess's child and her company! There was something wrong,I couldn't just put my finger into.I was in two different worlds in this moment

K was on a business trip to Africa.In the house,it was just me and my daughter

"Daddy,I miss my mother" Cass complained as I tied her shoe strings.When I looked up to her,her eyes had tears on them,I instantly felt worried and sat her on the island

"Aaw,you miss mommy? Which one?" I asked to reassure

"My real mommy,I miss her"she cried,I soothed her back hugging her.

"You know what? I have a surprise for you,why don't we go and see mommy right now?" I suggested, her eyes shot up in excitement revealing her cute puppy eyes

"Really? Lets go...wait,isn't mommy gonna beat me?" She asked in her tiny voice,eating her index finger

"Mommy is never gonna beat you,if she does, I'm gonna protect you"I said and she nodded in agreement.

30 minutes of driving,we arrived at the asylum.I was quite nervous though,I didn't want any drama to happen.I've had enough drama in my life,I never dreamed of Jess in a mental asylum.Nevertheless let her child see her mother in this state.It was emotional and so severe to let my body feel this for other people

Entering the asylum, I went in hand in hand with Cass.I headed to the desk and filled in my name and Cass's.I didn't care whether who was wondering on why I was here,to them,it was non of their business

We sat at a four chaired table,waiting for Jess to come out.Seconds passed rapidly as she came towards us,her hair tied in a tight bun.Wearing the uniform that everyone is wearing around here.She seemed as if she lost weight, her eyes were baggy.Probably from crying,something about her appearance made my heart ache

As soon as she saw us,she broke down into tears.Her face surprised and happy yet very emotional.She sat down opposite us,looking at us,not knowing what to say

"Y-you came to visit me? Is this my Cass?" She asked weirdly,like surprisingly.She stood up and knelt to Cass's height,as soon as their eyes connected.A tight hug formed,the one you could see from a distance.The one you really need,the mother and daughter hug.It was like they just found each other again

They were both crying to each others arms,it pained me to see them like that.I was selfish by not giving myself some chance to let Cass go and see her mother

"Are you okay baby?"Jess brushed her hair and kissed her forehead,grabbing her for another hug

"I missed you baby,momma never left you.Fate left us" she said crying a little louder but nobody was paying attention but me

"Mommy,are you okay? When are you gonna come back? I miss you too" Cass sobbed as Jess took her sitting down Cass on her lap

"Listen baby,mommy ain't okay right now.Mommy will come back soon,I promise you.You do know mommy loves you right? " she asked and Cass nodded

"And don't you ever forget that okay baby? No matter what, promise me"

"I promise"Cass responded grinning

"Where's K?" Jess asked,I cleared my throat before answering

"Africa,why?" I asked as curiosity hit me

"Open your eyes Chris,I'm not crazy as everyone thinks. I'm being drugged every week by the same nurse who's not on duty today.Don't be blinded by love Chris,the reason I'm here is because of K.She drugged me on the day I was arrested on,I bet she told you a different story on how I got here

"I'm not trying to turn you against your girlfriend but if you find something suspicious, just know I did inform you.Can you do me a favour? Please come as much as you can,I'm begging you Chris.And don't tell K,it might just cause trouble" she said,got me thinking alotta shit

"Don't do it for me,for Cass.Please"she said desperately.I sighed "Fine,for Cass" I responded,I felt a hand on top of mine

"Thank you" she smiled in relief,I returned a tight smile

"Mama! My birthday is coming up,I was gonna ask Daddy if we could come and spend it with you! Can we Daddy? " Cass squealed begging,that was the least I could do.Let them spend the birthday together

"Ok,no problem with that either "I said  "I don't want K to come ,she can be annoying" Cass announced unexpectedly,Jess looked at me then back at Cass

"What does she do?"Jess asked

"She makes me watch cartoons I don't like and she'll shout me even if I do a tiny mistake, sometimes she would take my time with Daddy and she doesn't read me a bed time story" she stated,the things I didn't know

"She's naughty!..Chris,do you know about this?"

"First time hearing it,but it won't happen again.Trust me"I shrugged my shoulders

"Chris,could you please let her go and visit grandma.They won't let me give a call here"she asked politely, quite precisely. Jess didn't seem crazy, the drug thing she told me now sounded real

"I got you"

As time passed they bonded,pretty much well but I was disturbed by a call from Jason, ok this was unusual.I left them and went to answer the call

Jas-Wassup!

Me-Great man,ya'll good?

Jas-Amazing man,something bothering me though. Can we meet up tomorrow at Coco's? 7 pm maybe

Me- Ayt

I dropped the phone call and let my eyes drop at the love I was seeing,the connection I was seeing from both of them.

After all,Cass did need a mother's love.
