Kick. Thump.
Germany’s eyes narrowed as he focused on the seat in front of him, trying his best to ignore the spoiled brat behind him. From the corner of his eye, he glared at Latvia as the smaller country absent-mindedly kicked the seat. Germany and Latvia had not really met the years before. Unfortunately, this meant Latvia knew nothing of how easily irritated Germany could be…and Germany knew nothing of Latvia’s nervousness. However, instead of turning around and screaming at Latvia, Germany inhaled deeply, clutched his right hand on the armrest, then turned his head to Georgia.
“Georgien…” he started calmly, blue eyes shining desperately. Georgia pursed her lips and faced him. “Yes, hun?”
Germany nodded his head towards the row of seats behind him. “Who is sitting behind us?” he questioned patiently. Georgia’s lips pulled into a sweet smile. “Oklahoma and his partner Latvia are behind us. Ahead of us are Miss Virginia and Austria.”
Germany blinked. “Austria?” he repeated dryly.
Kick.
Germany’s face reddened slightly as he stood and glared over the seat. “Halt.” He snarled. Latvia began to quiver in his seat, bleu eyes widening in absolute fear. “I’m s-sorry, sir!” he apologized quickly. Germany’s features softened as he observed Latvia. The boy was a shaking mess, and was close to tears. Unclenching his fist, Germany sighed. “Nein, don’t apologize. I should not have snapped at you. Just please…stop kicking my seat.”
“Yes, sir.”
Georgia chuckled silently, causing Germany to turn his head and blush. “What’s so funny?” he muttered, staring at the Southern belle intensely. Georgia laughed. “Nothing.” She replied calmly, though tears were beginning to form in her tears from her constant laughter. “Nothing at all.”
Germany frowned, leaning in closer, though his blush darkened. “Don’t lie to me. What’s wrong with you?”
Georgia smiled politely. “Like I said…nothing. I was just laughing at the way you handled Latvia.”
“There was something odd about it.”
“No, no…sort of. Never mind, hun! I hear your brother is on this plane. When do I get the opportunity to meet him?”
An exaggerated sigh left Germany’s lips. “Never if I have my way.” He muttered dryly. Georgia raised one eyebrow. “I didn’t catch that?”
Germany met Georgia’s gaze carefully, forcing a smile. “I’m sure you’ll meet him soon.” He promised miserably It wasn’t that he was ashamed of his brother…his older brother was just…someone like Georgia might not find Prussia’s arrogance to be funny. His arrogance far surpassed New York’s or Texas’s by a long shot. If Georgia came to dread Prussia, would she dread Germany as well? Georgia wasn’t shallow…but what if Georgia didn’t want to further any relationship she and Germany had after meeting Prussia? Once you form a bond with someone, their family is short on the way, after all.
Georgia nodded, grinning brightly. “I look forward to it, hun.” She said cheerfully, resting her hand on top of Germany’s. A small blush crept onto her cheeks Germany nodded stiffly trying his best to hide his misery. “Ja~” he whispered. The feeling that Prussia was much closer than they thought caused his heart to race. What if his bruder was watching? Prussia would never let him live it down.
Little did Germany know, he was right on the mark. Red eyes gleamed as they watched the duo carry on their conversation. Prussia’s laughed under his breath, grinning madly. “Thought you could hide your little girlfriend from me, didn’t you, West? Just wait…you’ll wish you never tried to fool the Awesome Me.”
