"Kuu! Here, kitty, kitty." You called out for Hajime's missing cat.
Hajime often gets worried when he can't find Kuu, so you try to find him before Hajime realizes he might be lost. "Kuu, please come out..."
"Meow"
You looked up to see that he was sitting on top of a high shelf. Most likely stuck. "Kuu! Come down here." Kuu stood up and looked at the ground hesitantly.
You grunted and pulled over a chair. It was obvious the chair alone wasn't going to get you to Kuu. You started grabbing thick books in the Guard Room stacking yourself higher. The books were unsteady as you stood on one foot on your tippy-toes reaching for Kuu. Kuu jumped into your arms. You held the little fur ball to your chest. All of a sudden, the books got even more unsteady, about to fall. "Miss L/n!" You heard a voice yell out.
You yelped and fell off the tall stack of books, waiting for the impact of you falling from a seven-foot drop. You clenched your eyes shut and squeezed Kuu harder to protect him. Instead of hitting the hard ground, you landed into something. You opened your eyes to see that it was none other than Hajime who caught you. He held you bridal style and gave you a worried expression. "Y/n, are you ok?"
You nodded. "Meoooww." Kuu said.
"Miss L/n, that was dangerous! You could've damaged that pretty little face of yours!" Kiji scolded.
"I-I'm sorry..." You apologized as Hajime placed you down.
"That was very reckless of you." Kenshirou spoke.
"I-I kn-know...Kuu was stuck up there at the highest shelf and I know Hajime cares a lot about him and I know that he'll get worried if he finds out that Kuu is gone..." You said sadly.
"You care too much about that gorilla." Samon commented.
"I can't help it!" You said with tears in your eyes.
"Why are you crying?" Hajime asked monotonously.
"Because you're all mad at me!" You said.
Hajime let out a sigh, "You guys should get back to work..." he told the other supervisors.
They obeyed and left the room. You were on the verge of crying as you hated the feeling of being treated like a child and having your friends yell at you. "Y/n, you're too caring, y'know?" He pulled you after you set Kuu down.
It was a pretty awkward hug as you were up to his stomach in height. "This isn't working..." He said.
He then picked you up as you squealed in shyness. You were placed on top of a desk. You blushed as you made eye contact with a mischievously smiling Hajime. "H-Hajime..?"
"You made me worried Y/n..."
You gulped at his husky voice. "Now you're going to be punished."
