~lunch~
The bell rang for lunch and I immediately met up with Taylor.
"Where shall we sit?" Tay asks grabbing her tray.
We browse around the cafeteria, in search for an empty table. We walk slowly but surely.
"Hey Taylor, come sit!" We heard in the distance. We both turned to see a girl waving her hand at Taylor.
"Oh that's Cassie, she's cool." Taylor heads in the girl's direction and I follow her like a lost pup, I was nervous all day and couldn't help but act it.
Taylor and I sat down across from each other and greet the four others sitting at the circular table in the corner of the cafeteria.
"Who's your friend Taylor?" Cassie asks in curiosity.
"Hi, I'm Allison"
"Nice to meet you, Im Elliot," a tall, blonde guy welcomes. "This is Matthew and Tobi."
"Hey cutie." Matthew smiles.
"Hi there!" Tobi shakes my hand.
I smile and open up the paper lunch bag, I take out a bag of fresh green grapes and start to munch on them one by one until finished.
I got to know the others a little bit more before someone familiar approaches our table.
"Oh hey Ryan. Is it cool if he sits here Allison?" Matthew points to the seat beside me.
"You've got to be kidding." I blurt out.
"Huh?" Matthew says.
Ryan just chuckles.
"Is that a yes, sweet pea?" He grinned.
"Uh I guess." I roll my eyes and turn to Taylor.
She mouthes "this is awkward."
My eyes widen in agreement as I nod my head yes.
He sits down and turns my way. "So how are you, Allison?"
"I'm fine" I bluntly respond, unsure of what he'll do next.
"Yea, me too, this town is so boring nothing too spectacular has happened." He replies.
Wait, is he serious? Is he actually trying to have a normal conversation with me?
I look down, confused as hell. Ryan made me feel horrible about myself for the past two years, what the hell is he doing?
"Hey Taylor, did you see Grayson at all?" I blurted out.
"Uhm, no not yet, why?" She asks.
"Just wondering, I need to talk to him."
Grayson and I weren't exactly friends but he did tend to save me from Ryan last year.. A LOT.
A few minutes went by and the guys decided to take off, leaving us girls at the table.
"Soo, did you ladies see any guys, that your interested in? I mean that guy Ryan is kind of hot if you ask me.." Cassie says blushing.
"Ew, no he's a real pain in the a-" "Ali." Taylor furrowed her eyebrows and shaked her head.
"I'm just saying, trust me Cassie, he's not the nicest guy around here." I explain.
"Why don't you like him?" Cassie questioned.
"Well, Ali and Ryan have a long past. Ryan used to-"
"Stop Taylor." I interrupted.
"Im just saying," she defended. "Allison had some trouble with him and-"
"Taylor."
"You went to the hospital because of-"
"Shut up!" I shout.
People immediately turn their heads our way. I froze.
"Woh Al, I'm sorry." Taylor looks down.
"I don't want to talk about it. And I especially didn't want Cassie or Tobi to know about my personal problems." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my stuff.
"Guys.." Cassie tried to calm us down.
"Allison, she was only trying to-"
"You're defending her?" I scoffed. "Ugh whatever." I got out of my seat.
"Ali" Taylor tried grabbing my arm.
"No, i'll see you later." I angrily said storming off.
______
I head to the library and find a seat, I take out my book from my little black backpack.
Journal Entry #23
Great, I'm off to a perfect start of junior year. Cassie and Tobi probably think i'm a psycho, because of how angry I got. Ryan is being.. uh different? Somewhat nice anyways. And I still haven't seen Grayson.
