Grayson pulled up to a red building, it had a sign, shaped like a pizza, hanging above the doors that said, "Lee's Pizza Parlour."
Aa soon as he parked, we both got out and went in this parlour.
"I've never heard of this place before, how did you?" I ask eyeing the place. The floors were checkered tiles, while the walls had many different paintings and posters of retro things, such as a crowd of girls holding a slice of pizza, or rockstars, and old soda logos.
Retro. I thought. I like it already.
"Oh, my dad used to take my family out here to eat. We usually came once a month but now we don't come at all."
"I see. Well, I like the aesthetic. Retro is fun." I say.
We talk for a little while until a waitress asks if we are ready to take our orders. Gray and I then proceed to give her our orders.
"I'll get a pepperoni pizza with sliced, green peppers and an iced tea please." I hand her the menu I was given.
"Uh, i'll get a cheese pizza with pineapple on it, and a coca cola please."
"Still into pineapple pizza?" I pretend to barf, the thought of fruit on a pizza sounded gross to me.
"Of course, pineapple pizza is the best pizza." He defended.
"No, no, no, anything but that."
"Whatever." He laughs.
After 20 minutes of talking the waitress comes out to give us our food.
Of course we have to take goofy pictures with our food and make a little bit of a mess, but we had a great time.
When we were done, we left Lee's Pizza Parlour and headed to the beach.
"So why did we stop hanging out again!" Gray asks looking down to me.
"Uh, I guess I was just busy this summer." I gulp and immediately look down.
"Oh."
"I'm glad we did today though. I had a great time." I smile.
"Me too." He gently states.
I then put my feet in the water and watch the sun go down.
The sky was mixed with pink and orange, while some areas were filled with fluffy clouds.
"Wow, this sunset today is- wow."
"It's definitely mesmerizing." He agrees.
~Time passes~
Grays POV
Oh shoot, i'm staring again, aren't I... she's just beautiful, I can't help it.
"It's 10 o'clock already?" Ali says checking her phone. She immediately grabs my arm and rushes to my vehicle.
I unlock the door and we hop in,
"Your mother said you had to be home by 10?" I ask.
"Well she said 'at least 10' but I want to maintain her trust." She says playing with her fingers.
"Oh, well I had fun!" I say backing out of they parking lot.
"Me too! Thanks, catching up was great." Allison says nodding and smiling.
~Ali's POV~
We end up getting to my house about 20 minutes later...
Grayson pulls up to my house, "Thanks again Gray, i'll see you tomorrow!"
"I may or may not text you!" He explains before I close the car's door.
As im walking, he rolls down the window and yells a stupid nickname he called me last year.
"Marshmallow" it's so dumb, last year there was this school christmas party, I was supposed to be making people hot chocolate.... Some how I kept getting marshmallows in my hair and he would pull them out for me. Then he gave me that stupid nickname and im probably stuck with it forever.
I turn around and stick my tongue out at him, then wave bye, and off he goes.
I unlock my door and head for my room. Grab some pj's and whatnot then had a shower. After I brush my teeth and get ready for bed, but first I gotta text Taylor, hoping she wasn't still angry. I give her a call. Two rings and she answers:
"Hey Tay! i'm sorry about today, I don't know why I acted like that..." I tell her before she could say anything.
"Me too, I should have stopped when you asked me too, I feel terrible!"
"It's fine, I'm just not totally comfortable with that situation yet."
"I understand" She responds.
"So what's up?" Taylor adds, changing the subject.
"I just wanted to apologize, I missed you." I explain.
"Awe, me too!" She replies.
I smile, "Guess what?"
"What?"
"So today, I ran into Grayson at school, and we hung out like all day!" I explained.
"Wait really, was it like a date?!" I could tell she was starting to get excited.
"No, no, we were just hanging out."
"ok whatever you say." She laughs.
"haha, well I should go to bed, im getting tired." I say yawning.
"Alright me too, i'll-." I then hear someone laugh in the backround- "call you later bye!"
She says then hangs up.
Did I just hear a dude laughing? Whatever.
I then scroll through instagram until I finally doze off.
