"Richard?" Mary ann muttered. She was about to go near him to slap his face, when Charmaine, Athena and Seb came down from the stairs.
"Lola!" They all yelled. Mary Ann stopped in her tracks and looked to where the voices came from. The tripletd ran down from the stairs and stopped her.
"Lola, kung ano man po ang rason kung bakit niyo gusto sampalin si Daddy, inosente po siya. Wala pong kasalanan ang Daddy namin." Charmaine pleaded to her grandmother. Mary Ann looked down on her and galnced at Richard. She kneeled down to reach her level.
"Charmaine, hindi mo alam ang pinagsasabi mo. Hindi mo ba alam na ang ama niya dahilan kung bakit naaksidente ang lolo niyo?" She asked. Charmaine and her siblings bowed their heads, when Maine came down from the stairs.
"Ma..." She muttered under her breath.
"Kids, akyat muna kayo and go to your rooms please." Mary Ann said as she tapped Seb's shoulder.
They all ran upstairs, leaving the adults to settle their own issues.
"Kailan pa, Nicomaine?" Mary Ann asked sternly.
"Ma, wala nam--" Maine was cut off when Mary Ann spoke.
"Hindi mo sinagot ang tanong ko, Nicomaine. Kailan pa?" She said, a hint of anger in her voice.
"Simula po nung nagtrabaho ako sa EB." Maine said.
"Tapos hindi mo sinabi sa akin? Diba sabi ko sa'yo Maine na hindi ka magiging masaya sa kaniya." Mary Ann said while she glanced at Richard.
"Ma, mahal ko po si Richard." She replied.
"Mahal na kung mahal pero ang ama niya pa rin ang dahilan kung bakit naaksidente ang tatay mo."
"Pero ma! Okay na po si Tatay! Bakit di mo ba kayang patawarin si Richard?!" She yelled. Mary Ann was about to slap her as well when Richard blocked her.
"Mrs. Mendoza, maniwla po kayo, mahal ko po ang anak niyo at walang kasalanan ang tatay ko sa pagkaaksidente ng asawa niyo." Richard said. Mary Ann glared at the both of them, before she exited the house, leaving them alone. For now.
