  Again you saw Kenma Kozume engrossed in a video game. His hands pressing buttons rapidly. He didn't utter a word, neither did he bother looking up. His cat-like golden eyes barely blinking.

  "Kozume-san?" You uttered out nervously. No reaction.

  "I- I- I just wanted to ask when your birthday is..." You lied. You purely wanted to get his attention. Again, no reaction.

  "Kozume-san?" You said hopefully again. He finally looked up after you tapped his shoulder.

"Huh?" He stuttered.

"I- I- when is your birthday?" You awkwardly lied again.

"Uh- 16th of October." He quickly answered before looking back to his video game. That meant his birthday was in roughly 2 weeks. Maybe you could get him a birthday present. You shook your head. How could you be thinking of such things? He was only your friend after all.

"What would you like for your birthday?" You uncontrollably blurted out.

"I don't know... Anything." He said, looking up again, his fingers still pressing buttons.

"Where's Kuroo-san?" You asked, desperate to keep the conversation going.

"I don't know. Maybe he's getting a drink or something." He replied, looking back to his video game every few seconds.

"Oh." You sighed. There was no way you could keep the conversation going without embarrassing yourself. You just wanted to be a closer friend to him. Mostly you wanted to know him more.

"(Last name)-chan, sorry if I seem cold." Kenma hastily added, still staring down at his game. You smiled to yourself. He did care a bit. You sat down next to him. He looked up for a second before quickly looking down. You smiled at the sight of the red hairpins he had inserted in his hair to keep it up so it wasn't blocking his vision. They were adorable.

"What?" He asked.

"Can I just sit next to you?"

"Um- okay..."

You groaned. Damn it! It was all his fault! All his fault! Kenma Kozume was angry over you accidentally- yes, accidentally, knocking into him and causing him to get a huge 'Game Over' flash across the screen of his video game. He then told you off. You then left him alone. And you were in such a bad mood you embarrassed yourself in front of a whole group of people by tripping over his leg. Suddenly...

"(Last name)-chan?" Came a shy and quiet voice. You turned around. There stood the pudding headed video game addict wearing the red Nekoma Volleyball Team jacket.

"What do you want, Kozume?" You spat out his name like poison.

"Sorry." He muttered quickly before turning around.

"Kozume-san!" You quickly stood up and grabbed his hand before he could start moving away. He looked at you.

"I- no- I- I just- no- (Last name)-chan- I- I'll talk- I'll talk to you later." He stuttered out nervously.

"Kozume-san..."

"I'm busy. I'll talk to you later okay?" He nervously said.

"Busy over what?" You questioned. He froze.
