Brian and I spent another hour or so with Freddie and Roger in their stall, talking about the most random things. Well, mostly it was them talking and me listening, pretending I had a clue of what and who they were talking about. Brian had mentioned names here and there in our messages, but honestly I was a little tired, the overwhelming events of the day were definitely catching up with me. I felt a little bad about it, but I gently tapped Brian's shoulder, causing him to look at me and the conversation between the men to stop.

"Uhm.. I hate to interrupt but... it's been quite a long day and I'm getting a little tired so maybe we could go home? Or at least drop off all these bags?" I smiled a little at him, gesturing to the bags that were standing on the floor beside me.

Brian's eyes widened a little and he nodded immediately. "Oh of course, of course, I'm sorry. You could have told me, you know?"

I chuckled and shrugged. "I just did. It's okay, don't worry."

"You want to go home now?" He asked again, wanting to make sure.

"If it's no trouble, that would be nice. At least for a bit of rest - and food. And then we can come back here or go out again or do whatever you do this time of day."

"Yes, yes, we certainly can do that," Brian assured me. "Would you be up for maybe going out again? It's Saturday and there's probably something good happening."

I shrugged, looking him up and down for a moment. If I was honest I could have done without going out again, but I was basically intruding on his life so if he wanted to go out again then I didn't want to be in the way of that. I didn't want to risk upsetting him - I doubted that he would be upset but still. After all I was dependent of him here, away from anything I knew. "That's fine with me, sure. As long as we can eat something before."

"I promise," Brian said, slightly amused. "Okay, well do you guys want to do something later?" He asked, turning back to look at Roger and Freddie again. "Maybe John wants to join? And Veronica and Mary of course?"

Names, names, more names. I was trying to keep up with them. I definitely remembered John, he was part of Brian's band, but the others I couldn't immediately place. Luckily I didn't have to, because Brian was wrapping up the conversation and both Freddie and Roger gave me a quick hug which I thought was very sweet. A step of them accepting my intrusions into their little group. And then Brian and I grabbed all my bags and left the little stall that Freddie and Roger worked in.

"I'm sorry if I got a little carried away," Brian apologised as soon as we were outside in the open again - and could actually have a conversation.

But he wouldn't have needed to apologise. "It's okay. They're your friends after all, you can catch up with them if you want to."

"Yes, but I should have at least asked if you're okay with spending so much time there. It only makes sense that you're a little tired after all that happened today. I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Brian, really. I'm fine, I promise." I glanced at him with a smile, walking along his side back to his flat. "What did you settle on with them?"

"They'll give me a call when they're home and then we'll see what we're going to do. Is that okay?" He smiled at me, before he nearly bumped into me because I missed the turn.

"Sorry," I apologised, slightly embarrassed. "Uhm, yes, that's okay. Like I said, whatever you normally do will be fine. Pretend I'm not even here."

"Mira, don't be silly. I thought I would never get to actually spend time with you and now that you're here you say I should just pretend as if everything is like usually? No no, I won't do that. I don't want to do that. I thought you wouldn't want me to do that.." He guided me along the street with long strides.

I shrugged and smiled a little. He really was such a sweetheart, he hadn't just acted like one. "No, I don't..," I told him honestly. "But if we do what I would like us to do then we'll be stuck at your flat for quite some time.." I glanced at him in time to see his eyes widening in surprise before he nearly tripped over his long legs and the bunch of bags he was holding.

"What- uh, what would you like us to do?" He asked, stumbling a little over his words.

Furrowing my eyebrows I watched him. "Well a few things. For example I'd like to see you play guitar, if you want to play for me again of course. And to be honest I kind of just want to talk to you and be happy about being by your side, if that's not too strange."

"Oh.." His voice was a strange mix of relieved and disappointed at the same time. "Uhm, yes. We can do that. Definitely. I would like that," he agreed, nodding a little.

"What did you think I wanted to do?" Narrowing my eyes sceptically, I glanced at him.

"Uhm.." He chuckled and shrugged, speeding up his steps a little. "It was just the way you phrased it... nevermind."

I kept up his pace and thought about how I had phrased it before my eyes widened in realisation. "Oh my god," I exclaimed, laughing softly. "Wow. You know, I am not quite that forward actually, but good to know what's on your mind."

"I'm sorry," he apologised, his cheeks tinted slightly red. "I didn't mean to think that, it's just... I don't know, I'm sorry."

"It's okay," I chuckled. "It's not the first time you made a reference to something like that, you know?" It was true. While we were messaging sometimes our conversations had taken a strange turn, but it was always fun if I was honest. Innocent teasing, knowing that nothing could ever happen anyway.

Except now something could actually. happen.
