I continue to hope that Mom and Dad would respond to the text. I know that they resent me, but surely they carry an ounce of love towards their future grandchildren...right?

My hope is halfway met. They read the text; I know that because it marks read below the texts. But they don't respond.

Jerks.

I leave the guest room - which I now call my bedroom - and go into the kitchen to fix myself lunch.

"Hey, Del," I greet when I see Del sitting at the table, drinking hot cocoa.

"Hey, what's the sex of the baby?" She asks straight away.

"Oh, I'm having twins, and they're a boy and a girl," I say ever so casually.

Delilah gapes. "Oh. My. God! Wow, Allison! You sure hit a home run, eh?"

I giggle. Then I turn serious. "Yeah. Um, I sent a picture of the ultrasound to Daniel and Mom and Dad, and only Daniel responded..."

"Oh, what did he say?"

I quote the exact words Daniel has texted me. Delilah's eyebrows arch, her teeth clenches, and her face turns fuming red. "That scumbag!"

"I know right?!" I exclaim, sitting across from her with a bowl of Ramen noodles.

"The twins deserve a way better father than Daniel the dickhead," Delilah comments, shaking her head in anger.

I sigh. "I totally agree. I hate that I'm a single mother."

"I'm sorry, hon."

"It's okay, I guess. I just wish that I never slept with him. I mean, I love my babies and everything, but why did he out of all guys have to be the dad?" I make a sour facial expression.

Delilah sighs. "Well, it's too late to change that. What's done is done."

Okay, that quote 'What's done is done' is starting to become overused...but I like that quote for some reason.

What's done is done...

"So," Delilah says, changing the subject. "What are you gonna name them?"

"Hmm...I don't know," I reply sheepishly.

"Oh, seriously, Al?!" Delilah cries in dismay.

"I'm only nineteen weeks along, you know," I point out. "I have plenty of time left to choose names."

"Let's just come up with a few names, please?!" Delilah begs, giving me the puppy dog look on her face.

"Fine," I retort, smiling in amusement.

By the time we finish our lunches, we come up with the following names:

Madison and Mason

Emily and Ethan

Taylor and Tyler

Olivia and Owen

Zoey and Zachary

Brianna and Brian

Julia and James

Sophia and Samuel

Mia and Eli

Peyton and Preston

I decide I like Mia and Eli or Zoey and Zachary the best, but I'm not too sure yet.
