Luna~Maë POV

I wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of light whimpering. I look to over to see Jax, who's laying at the foot of the bed weakly. I quickly climb over to him and lay my head next to his.

"No boy, now is not the time... you can't leave me, I love you so much, just please, stay with me one more night," I cried, looking him in the eye. I can tell that he's trying his hardest not to cry to. I try my best to pick him up, walk out outside, and sit down on the pouch swing, laying Jax next to me.

"I know that this was your favorite thing about the house. As a puppy, you would jump on it and I would always push you on the swing. I still remember the day I got you, best day of my life" I choked out, gently petting him.

Flashback

Half an hour of searching later and I couldn't find the right puppy for me. All of them were cute and all but, I just didn't feel the click with them.

"Still nothing?"

"Yeah," I sighed

"What if I just don't find the one?" I worried.

"Don't lose hope, we're going to, I promise," Carson says. I just sighed and laid down in the puppy pen, with my eyes closed. Suddenly, I feel something wet hit my face. I opened my eyes and saw a golden retriever puppy. It had these bright brown eyes that made you just up with joy, and soft, pale, yellow fur.

"Hi there sweetie, aren't you a cutie," I said, picking up the puppy. It barked excitedly, then waged it's tail eagerly. That moment there, I felt a click with it.

"Carson, this is the one," I smiled widely.

Flashback Over

"That m-moment on, I promise myself that I would always love you, and I kept that promise. We did everything together, went everywhere together, and so much more," I say, tearing up a bit. Jax lets out a small bark.

"Save you voice boy, I- You can't leave me, just not yet! I love you so much! Please don't go! I just wish I had one more day to spend with you....just one more day," I cried, tears flowing out of my eyes. I just laid my head lightly near his heart and listened as his heartbeat slowed down.

"I love you Jax, just know that I'm always thinking about you everyday," I whispered, stroking his fur one last time before his heart stopped. I whipped out my phone and called the only person who I know would come here this late. A 10 minutes later, a car parked in my driveway and someone walked up the pouch steps, facing me.

"Maë, what's wrong?" They asked, outing a hand on my shoulder. I bit my lip, trying to fight back the tears that threatened to sip from my eye.

"J-Jax is...He's gone..." At this moment, I started bawling, not caring who heard me this late. I get pulled into a warm embrace and cry even harder.

"It's gonna be ok, I promise," they said, trying their best to comfort me.

The next few day pass by and the town was quiet. Everyone tried their best to comfort me but it was no use. How can I be ok, when I just witnessed my best friend die right in front of me. I spent most of my days, locked in my room, looking at pictures of me and Jax, watching our favorite movies and tv shows that he loved. I hear a light knock on the door then someone open it.

"Maë, how are you doing?" Jacob asked, stepping into my room.

"Not that well," I sighed.

"We all know how hard it hit you, it really effected us too, Jax was and STILL is family to us, I want you to know that we're all here for you if you wanna talk," he says.

"Thanks, that's really sweet of you," I say.

"No problem, I love you and I want you to know that I'm always here for you," Jacob said, pulling me into a hug. I look up at him and smiled lightly, that's when the worst time ever happened. He leaned and kissed me. My eyes widen in shock and I quickly pushed him off me.

"JACOB! What was that!" I yelled.

"I'm sorry, it's just, that I use to like you, and when you looked up at me, it just brought back memories and then I just kissed you, I'm really sorry Maë," Jacob rambles.

"You don't just go around and kiss girls like-" That's when I get cut off again by Jacobs lips on mine, I pulled away and slapped him.

"DUDE!!! I'm engaged!!!!" I yell at him.

"Sorry- it's not me you be saying sorry to, it's Carson- OMG CARSON! No, no, no, no, no! He's literally gonna kill you! Which, by the way you deserve, how is he gonna react is my question," I say, biting my bottom lip.

"He doesn't have to find out, it was just an accident that happened," he said.

"You don't understand! I'm MARRYING him! I have to be truthful to him always!" I exclaimed, running my hands through my hair in frustration.

"Can't you just, keep this a secret?" Jacob asked.

"Sure then by the time we have kids I'll just say," Hey, remember when I was acting all weird? That's because I lied to you and your so called best friend kissed me!" I exclaimed sarcastically.

"I'll tell him," Jacob says.

"I give you till the day of the wedding to tell him, if you don't, I will," I say sternly.

"Ok," he says.

"Now, get out of my room, I don't want to see you now," I said, pointing towards the door. Jacob looks at me one last time before leaving. This isn't gonna end well.

Quick update I made in one hour, praise me👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I'm so sorry but, Jax is no longer with us.... I'm sorry that I did that but... I'm sorry, I love Jax and it hurts me that I had to cut him out of the story...😭😖💜

We go to some drama between Maë, Jacob, and Carson☕️💍☕️
